Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has seriously accused the Modi government at the Center of not running sufficient number of special trains for Bihar during Chhath Puja.

Tejashwi Yadav said that due to the negligence of the Centre, lakhs of migrant Biharis are forced to travel in inhuman conditions to return home on Chhath festival. He appealed to the people to form our government, you will not face any problem in returning on Chhath.

Tejashwi released a video on social media and said that the Railway Minister and other ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government are lying. He said that out of 13,000, 12,000 special trains are being run for Bihar, but the reality is that people are traveling in crowded trains by hanging on toilets and doors. He alleged that the government’s apathy has made even the great festival of faith like Chhath a victim of politics.

Promise of employment for migrants returning to Bihar

Tejashwi Yadav also assured to provide employment to migrant workers in the state if the opposition alliance ‘India’ comes to power. He said that those who have come to Bihar to celebrate Chhath, I promise them that next year they will celebrate the festival at their homes. We will create employment in Bihar so that no one is forced to go to other states.

Urging the people who returned to Bihar on Chhath, he said that I want to tell everyone that they must eat Thekua but do not go back without voting. Vote for us, because we promise to give a government job to every family.

Questions raised on overcrowding and chaos

The RJD leader shared some videos on social media, in which trains are seen packed with passengers. He said that people coming to Bihar during the festival season are being treated like animals. There is no space in trains and people are traveling sitting in toilets. Tejashwi called this an example of the ‘anti-Bihar mentality’ of the central government.

Tejashwi said that citing the data presented in the Parliament, about three crore migrant workers of Bihar are registered, while including the unregistered people, this number reaches five crore.

Voting will be held in two phases in Bihar on 6th and 11th November, while the counting of votes will take place on 14th November. In such a situation, this statement of Tejashwi has heated up the political atmosphere along with the Chhath festival.

Crores of passengers travel through trains daily in the country. And the number of these passengers is seen very much during the festivals. As the festive season arrives, the crowd of passengers in trains increases manifold. On occasions like Chhath Puja, Diwali and Durga Puja, it becomes very difficult to get tickets from Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal and South India to metro cities.

At such a time, the railway makes special arrangements for the convenience of passengers every year. This time also the same arrangement has been made by the Railways. More than 12000 special trains have been announced by the Railway Minister to run more than 12000 special trains. So 150 special trains will be run from 21 September to 30 November. Plan of Zone Wise Special Trains

Many special trains are run on Diwali and Chhath, especially during the festive season. Most of the trains will be run by South Central Railway. So at the same time 14 trains have been fixed on the Bihar route by the East Central Railway. Which will do total 588 trips. It will cover big cities like Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur. Eastern Railway will run 24 trains on Kolkata, Sealdah and Howrah routes. Which will do 198 trips.

24 trains will be run by Western Railway on Mumbai, Surat and Vadodara routes. This will benefit the passengers living outside Gujarat and Maharashtra. So the Southern Railway will run 10 special trains on South Indian routes like Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai which will do 66 trips.

Special arrangements will also be made from the rest of the zones

Apart from this, special service will also be given from many more zones. Trains will run from East Coast Railways on Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur routes. South Eastern Railway will provide relief to passengers on Ranchi and Tatanagar routes while North Central Railway will get relief from Prayagraj and Kanpur routes. Apart from this, special trains will also be run during festivals from major routes like Bilaspur, Raipur, Bhopal and Kota. Railways say that this is just the first phase. More special trains will be run further. In view of Chhath, the Railway Minister has already given information about 12000 trains on the routes of Bihar and eastern India.

Since October 20, tickets from Delhi to Darbhanga are running up to Rs 9000–10000. At the same time, a range of up to Rs 10,000–17000 is also being seen from cities like Ahmedabad Mumbai, Hyderabad.

State government will run special buses

BSRTC of Bihar government has completed preparations for Chhath Diwali. 299 inter-state buses will be run during the entire festival season. Which have AC and Non-A. DELUXE buses. Apart from this, BSPTC has also announced that the service of AC and Deluxe buses will be started from 1 September to 30 November. This train has 11 general coaches, 8 sleeper coaches, 2 disabled coaches and 1 kitchen coaches. This train will go via Khagaria, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Pataliputra DDU in Bihar.
