According to Sri Lanka Cricket Board sources, “Given the proximity of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the players expressed concern about their safety and expressed their desire to return. In place of the players returning home, other players will be sent to Pakistan, so that the remaining matches of the series can be played.”
