There is good news for the youth preparing for government jobs. Staff Selection Commission i.e. SSC has released the notification of CGL 2026 recruitment, under which recruitment will be done on bumper posts in many departments of the Central Government. Like every year, this time too a large number of candidates are going to appear in this recruitment examination. SSC CGL exam is counted among the most popular recruitment examinations of the Central Government because through it candidates get a chance to get jobs in different ministries and departments.

In which departments will you get jobs?
Through this recruitment, candidates will get jobs in many big departments of the Central Government. This includes many important departments like Income Tax Department, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Central Excise Department, Enforcement Directorate, Postal Department, Audit Department and Narcotics Department. Under the recruitment, appointments will be made on posts like Assistant Section Officer, Income Tax Inspector, Auditor, Accountant, Tax Assistant and CBI Sub Inspector.

How much salary will you get?
Candidates are given excellent salaries in jobs available through SSC CGL. Salary has been fixed according to different posts. The starting salary can start from around Rs 25000 and go up to Rs 1.5 lakh. Apart from this, candidates will also get the benefit of dearness allowance, house rent allowance, traveling allowance and other government facilities.

age limit
The age limit has been fixed according to different posts in recruitment. For some posts, the minimum age has been kept at 18 years and maximum age at 27 years, while for many posts the maximum age has been fixed at 30 to 32 years. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules. SC and ST candidates will get 5 years relaxation and OBC candidates will get 3 years relaxation.

Candidates who have passed graduation from a recognized university can apply for this recruitment. For some special posts, special qualification in the related subject has been sought. Candidates have been advised to read the complete notification carefully before applying.

How will the selection process happen?
SSC CGL recruitment exam will be conducted in several phases. First of all, there will be a computer based Tier-1 examination. After this, successful candidates will have to appear for Tier-2 examination. For some posts, physical test and medical test can also be taken. The final selection will be done on the basis of merit and document verification.
