Meanwhile, producer Namit Malhotra recently talked about his vision of recreating the era of Ramayana and the scale on which the film is being made.

Namit Malhotra told his vision
Speaking at the GBS ET Now Conclave, Namit Malhotra said, ‘For everyone present here, Ramayana is the foundation of our culture, our stories and our history. I’ve spent nearly two decades trying to make my mark in Hollywood. Unlike other American sectors like finance, technology or medicine, where Indians have achieved great success, we had no special identity in Hollywood. Our industry, our history or our culture were not given that much importance there.

‘Where are our roots?’
Namit further said, ‘During that journey, I was irritated to think that we are often seen from the perspective of an emerging country. This thing troubled me a lot. I felt that we should present something that shows the world who we really are, where our roots are, and how rich our culture and history are, and that too in a way that the world has never seen before.’

Proudly presenting ‘Ramayana’
Not only this, Namit further said that for this reason he chose the story of ‘Ramayana’ to proudly present it to the world. He said, ‘We have everything that the biggest Hollywood films offer. We have prepared this film at such a high level in terms of budget, technology and visuals that no one can compete with it. We are making what I would call, in 2026, one of the biggest independently financed films in the entire world.

Ever since Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ was announced, this film has become the center of attraction. This film is going to be made on a very big scale, whose cast includes many actors. Now a latest update has come out regarding this film. Earlier talks were going on with Vikrant Massey for Ravana’s son Meghnad in the film, but now not Vikrant but some other actor will be seen in this role.

Raghav replaced Vikrant
Vikrant Massey’s name had come up for the role of ‘Meghnad’ in Nitesh Tiwari’s multi-starrer film ‘Ramayana’. Talks were going on with the actor about this but now there are reports that Vikrant is not playing this character. According to the report of Zooma TV, now ‘Kill’ and ‘Bads of Bollywood’ fame Raghav Jual is going to play the character of ‘Meghnad’ in ‘Ramayana’. This character is the character of Ravana’s son who is also known as Indrajit.

Raghav will be in part 2
Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ is being made in two parts. Raghav will play the character of ‘Meghnad’ in its second part. The second part of this film will be released during Diwali of 2027. When things did not work out with Vikrant Massey, the makers approached Raghav. Now there are reports that Raghav will soon start shooting for this character.
