Through which the company wants to provide internet with a capacity of 600 gigabit per second. However, the Department of Telecommunications has allowed Starlink to use temporary spectrum for demo. So that security checks can be done. The government has given permission to Starlink to bring 100 user terminals into India and provide only fixed satellite service.

There was a demand from the company to bring foreign technical experts to its earth station. Which was rejected by the Government of India and said that till the security clearance is obtained from the Home Ministry, the earth stations can be operated only by Indian citizens.

Starlink: India’s Space Regulator Indian National Space Authorization and Promotion Center (Inspace) has given the official Starlink a license to start satellite-based internet service in the country. According to Inspace’s website, the Starlink Satellite Communications is approved to use the capacity of its Starlink Jane 1 Constitution in India. This license is valid for up to five years.

Starlink had long awaited license

Last month, Starlink also got the necessary license from the Telecom Deputment (DOT). Now the bus spectrum allotment fees and the rules of the telecom department are yet to be finalized.

Telecom regulator TRAI suggests satellite internet services like Starlinks should pay 4 percent of their earnings as fees to the government. However, this fee is more than the expectations of companies. With this, companies serving in cities will have to pay a fee of Rs 500 per customer, while no additional fee will have to be paid in rural areas.

The company will get with Jio and Airtel

Along with this, Airtel and Jio have partnered with SpaceX to sell Starlink Equipments in their stores. Its purpose is to bring Starlink’s satellite internet service from door to door in India.
