The launch of satellite internet service in India has been awaited for a long time. Many companies including Elon Musk’s Starlink and Jio have applied to the government for this and have also got provisional spectrum, but the wait for the launch is getting longer. Now Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia himself has told why there is a delay in the launch of this service. Let us know what reasons he has given behind this.

Due to these reasons the service has not been launched yet

According to media reports, Scindia said that this service cannot be rolled out until Starlink and other companies fulfill the conditions set by the security agencies. He said that OneWeb, Starlink and Reliance Jio will have to take security clearance as well as ensure that users’ data remains in India. The government has allotted provisional spectrum to these companies and these companies are working closely with security agencies. This process is still going on. He also said that the Department of Telecommunications and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) are working together to finalize the spectrum pricing.

There is no consensus on pricing

It is being said in the reports that there is no consensus between the Department of Telecommunications and TRAI regarding the pricing of spectrum. The Department of Telecommunications had given several suggestions, including increasing the annual spectrum fee from 4 percent to 5 percent and removing the fee of Rs 500 on every connection in urban areas, which TRAI has rejected. Now the Department of Telecommunications will present its views before the Digital Communication Commission (DCC), after hearing which the DCC will decide what next step should be taken for the pricing of spectrum. After the process is completed from here, it will be sent to the Union Cabinet for approval.

The list of companies providing internet service in the country may soon be included in Billionaire Elon Musk’s starlink. This company has got the final regulatory approval to provide satellite internet service. Earlier, Onweeb of Reliance Jio and Eultsat has also got the green signal for the launch of the service.

Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (In-Space) has given this approval to Starlink. A one of reates Report In-Space has been quoted as saying that Starlink license is valid for five years. Last month, the company got a license from the Telecom Ministry. Starlink will now need to get spectrum from the central government, build infrastructure and show through testing and trial that the company is completing the rules related to security. For the last three years, Starlink was waiting for a license to start its satellite internet service in the country.

There was a dispute between Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio and Starlink for several months how to have a spectrum allocation for satellite internet service in the country. However, the government favored Starlink in this case that the satellite spectrum should be allocated instead of oxes. Starlinks lobbied for not auctioning the satellite spectrum. This company had said that licenses should be given according to the international trend for this. Starlinks argued that this is a natural resource that companies associated with communication should share.

Telecom companies like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio had said that if the price of satellite spectrum is kept low then it will harm their business. This can benefit companies providing satellite internet service like Starlink. The organization Cellular Operators Association of Telecom companies, in a letter to the Telecom Ministry, also demanded a review of the proposal related to pricing of satellite spectrum. The letter said that satellite internet service providers for the government’s telecom companies about 21 percent more for spectrum compared to the price.

Starlink Gen1: Starlink will play a revolutionary role in promoting digital connectivity in India. Through this, high -speed satellite will be transported to the internet in the remote remote areas of India. For this, Starlink Satellite Communications Private Limited (SSCPL) has been approved by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authority Center.

Starlink Gen-1 Low Earth Orbit (Leo) is officially authorized to provide satellite communication service using satellite group. This agreement is for 5 years. However, the operation of Starlink’s services will be subject to all regulatory approvers, approval and licenses received from government departments.

What is Starlink Jane-1?
Starlink Gane-1 is a global group, including 4,408 satellites, revolving around the Earth at a height of 540 to 570 km. The group is designed to provide a strong throwput of about 600 GBPS in India. It promises to bring revolutionary changes in internet access to urban users seeking high speed connectivity along with rural communities.

Villagers living in remote areas are of great advantage
Experts believe that the arrival of Starlinks can lead to a big change in connectivity for millions of Indians, especially in areas where the infrastructure of the Internet is limited or not present. This service is designed to provide uninterrupted broadband access to homes, businesses, schools and emergency services, which will create new opportunities for education, commerce and innovation.

Starlink is currently serving in Sri Lanka
A spokesperson of the IN-Space stressed that all the starlink operations in India would be strictly monitored to ensure compliance with national security and regulatory requirements. This step is also in line with global trends, as satellite internet groups are becoming an important component of the world’s digital ecosystem. Starlink has recently started operating satellites to provide broadband services in Sri Lanka.

Starlink: India’s Space Regulator Indian National Space Authorization and Promotion Center (Inspace) has given the official Starlink a license to start satellite-based internet service in the country. With this, this company of Allen Musk will start offering satellite-based internet service in the country.

According to Inspace’s website, the Starlink Satellite Communications is approved to use the capacity of its Starlink Jane 1 Constitution in India. This license is valid for up to five years.

Starlink had long awaited license

Starlink is waiting for a license in India since 2022. The company aims to start its commercial operation in India. Last month, Starlink also got the necessary license from the Telecom Deputment (DOT). Now the bus spectrum allotment fees and the rules of the telecom department are yet to be finalized.

Telecom regulator TRAI suggests satellite internet services like Starlinks should pay 4 percent of their earnings as fees to the government. However, this fee is more than the expectations of companies. With this, companies serving in cities will have to pay a fee of Rs 500 per customer, while no additional fee will have to be paid in rural areas.

The company will get with Jio and Airtel

Along with this, Airtel and Jio have partnered with SpaceX to sell Starlink Equipments in their stores. Its purpose is to bring Starlink’s satellite internet service from door to door in India.

Apart from this, Jio and Airtel Starlink will also provide installations, activations and customers service support to users. This partnership will help improve internet connectivity, especially in areas where broadband is not available, such as rural areas, mountainous areas and forests. Forest. Let us know that Starlink’s Jane 1 network includes 4,408 satellites, which revolve around the Earth at a height of 540 to 570 km. It is expected that it will give internet in India at a speed of about 600 GBPS.

Elon Musk’s satellite internet service Starlink has been licensed in India and now the company is preparing to start its service in far-flung areas of the country soon. Meanwhile, a big question for users is that in today’s time, the three options they have for the Internet – Starlink, 5G and Broadband, should choose from whom. In terms of speed, coverage, price and trust, these three technology are quite different and every user needs different. In such a situation, here we understand which technology will be better for you in which situation.

What is Starlink Satcom?

Starlink is a satellite based internet service that works through Low Earth Orbit i.e. Leo satellites. Through this, the Internet signal reaches the user’s house directly through a dish from the sky. Neither a fiber line is needed, nor the mess of the tower. Starlink is the best for areas where mobile networks also reaches barely or there is no facility of broadband. Talking about speed, it can be available from 50 to 200 Mbps and the latcy lives between 20 and 50ms. However, its price is still very high. The price of its installation kit is being estimated above Rs 30,000 and the monthly plan can also be between Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000. However, a recent report indicated that the company can offer plans starting at Rs 810 per month to add more and more users for the first time.

5G Technology, Plans

On the other hand, 5G mobiles have emerged as a better option for internet, especially for cities and big towns. It does not require any installation nor a heavy setup. Smartphone, hotspot or 5G dongle get a direct connection. However, the performance of 5G depends entirely on how strong the network is in your area and how much the user load is. Many users are not getting good speed in 5G because the tower coverage or network is struggling with crowds and 5G is not yet reached in the hilly areas, especially there are many remote areas where 4G does not even come.

However, where the network is clear, it can give a speed of 100 to 300 Mbps comfortably. It contains 10-20MS lanty and supports 5G phone or 5G dongle. Currently all other private operators except BSNL have rolled out 5G and an average expenditure is Rs 6-10 per GB and many plans also provide unlimited data. This is good for urban users, who use the Internet on a phone or mobile device.

Fiber broadband technology, plans

Now talk about fiber broadband, so it is still considered to be the most reliable and stable way for the Internet. If you work from home, are on streaming, or use more data, then the broadband running on the fiber line would be best. Its speed goes from 100 Mbps to 1 GBPS and the lowest is also the lowest. In many places, good broadband plans are being available for Rs 400 to Rs 1,000. But the problem comes where the fiber network has not reached yet. Its access into villages or small towns is still limited. The mountainous areas are also far away from it.

Broadband has the lowest, ie an average of 5–10ms of latency. Until a few years ago, operators used to take extra charge to install the connection, but in today’s time the installation has become free with some plans. On average, good speed plans are available at Rs 400-1,000 per month. This is a good option for those who spend more and more time at home and are looking for stable work, streaming, video calls, gaming, etc.

Overall, if you are in the city and need a reliable internet connection, nothing better than broadband. If you mostly use mobile and live in 5G coverage, then the 5G option will be fine. But if you live in an area where both do not run, then Starlink can be the only option, even if it is a little expensive at the moment.

Taking a major step towards the futures of the Satellite Bed Internet, Elon Musk’s Starlink has received the SATCOM services license from the Ministry of Telecommunications in India. It is the third company after Eutetersat‑oneweb and Reliance Jio‑ses in India, which has received this approval. This has found Starlink a way to start commercial services, especially in areas where traditional network does not reach. Recently, Starlink emphasized that the spectrum should be allotted administratively, not to sell in the auction and the Government of India also took its favor, on which Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel also expressed objections.

NDTV quoted by PTI Report It is said that Starlink has finally obtained the license of DOT for its services in India. The license was in cold storage for a long time and at one time it seemed that the company of Elon Musk would have to wait longer. Starlink started the agreement for commercial entry in India in 2022, but had to wait a long time due to national security concerns.

Now the Department of Telecom (DOT) has given it Global Mobile Communication by Satellite (GMPCS) license and the process of allotment of trial spectrum will also start in about 15-20 days.

Starlink has now become a third company in India, which has received a SATCOM license from DOT. Earlier Eutetersat-ONEWEB and Jio‑ses were licensed. This decision will bring strong competition and speed in the Indian satellite Internet market.

The recent report reported that Starlink allegedly emphasized that the spectrum should be attended by administratively, not selling in auction. The government also showed inclination in its favor and the debate over the spectrum fee structure between Reliance Jio‑ses vs Airtel‑oneweb intensified. At the same time, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel described it as ‘uneven fees’ and have registered their objections.

The focus of Starlink is especially on remote and undersved areas, where the traditional network does not reach. Low-Earth Orbit (Leo) satellites will provide faster and lulette internet connectivity, which can improve digital connectivity in rural India.

Starlink: Alan Musk’s company Starlink has received licenses from the Ministry of Telecommunications in India. With this, soon satellite based high speed internet service will be delivered to far-flung areas of the country. Earlier, Bharti Airtel’s OneWab and Reliance Jio have been approved to provide satellite-based services in India. According to the CNBCTV18 report, Starlink has now become the third company in this order.

Trial spectrum will be released to the company

The Starlink has also been given a Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite (GMPCS) permit by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT). Now trial spectrum will also be issued to the company in the coming time. After spectrum allotment, the company will have to submit all compliance with the government, including security conditions.

However, before starting satellite telecom services in India, the company will also have to take approval from the Space Regulator Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACE). The company has already given all the details for this, but the approval has not been received yet.

Following the recommendations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, DOT has to finalize the price of spectrum allotment and the rules related to it. TRAI has talked about putting 4 percent AGR on companies like Starlink for satellite communication. Apart from this, TRAI has also recommended to do administratively instead of spectrum allotment auction to get the spectrum quickly to other satellite services providers such as Starlinks and their network can start as soon as possible.

Starlink operation begins in Bangladesh

Recently, Starlink Services started in Bangladesh, for which about 4,200 taka (Rs 2,990) and one -time one time to buy devices will have to be paid for use. Starlink is special because even after answering the mobile network, its services continue.

This is because it does not depend on the mobile towers on the ground for the Internet, but the Stalink provides internet service using its satellite network in the lowest orbit of the Earth. More than 7,000 satellites of Starlink Spacex have been deployed in the Leo, which is present at an altitude of about 550 km from Earth, which plans to increase to 12,000 satellites further.
