JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar were recently launched by Jiohotstar. The complete content of both over-the-top platforms will be available in Jiohotstar. It will also show content from JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar shows and movies, in addition to various international studios and streaming platforms. The new streaming platform will have about three lakh hours of content as well as live coverage of sports events. JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar have a user base of over 50 crores, including users of both platforms. However, it is not clear whether this user base includes the number of users having accounts of both platforms. Users will not need subscription to watch movies, shows or live sports events on it. This streaming platform has a subscription plan for without obstruction and better experience. This means that advertisements will not be shown to the payment subscribers and they will be able to see the content at high resolution.
