Hong Kong Sixes Tournament: India has announced its team for Hong Kong Sixes. Dinesh Karthik has been given the command of Team India in this tournament. Apart from him, 5 more players have been included in the Indian team. A total of 12 teams will participate in the Hong Kong Sixes. Last year, the Indian team’s journey in this tournament ended in the group stage itself, but this time the fans are hopeful that the team led by Dinesh Karthik will become the champion.

A total of 6 players have been kept in the team for Hong Kong Sixes. Apart from Shahbaz Nadeem, Abhimanyu Mithun in the Indian team, the name of Priyank Panchal, who recently retired from cricket, has been announced for the tournament on November 1. The names of Dinesh Karthik, Stuart Binny and Bharat Chipli had already been announced. This tournament will be held from 7 to 9 November at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong. A total of 29 matches will be played in three days in this tournament.

12 teams play in the Hong Kong Sixes Tournament. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, UAE, Kuwait, Australia, South Africa, England and Hong Kong participate in this tournament. The teams have been divided into four groups and India and Pakistan have been placed together in Group C.

In this tournament, a match is played between two teams of 6 players each and a team can bowl only 6 overs. So in the final match, 8 balls are bowled in one over. Apart from this, except the wicketkeeper, all the players of the team have to bowl one over each. There is no free hit for no ball. However, wide and no ball are counted as extra runs.

WCL 2025: In the 15th match of the World Championships of Legends 2025, India Champions defeated West Indies Champions by 5 wickets to enter the semi -finals. Now the team will face Pakistan Champions on 31 July. In this match, all -rounder Stuart Binny performed brilliantly with both bat and ball and played a key role in winning the team.

Pollard’s explosive innings was useless

In this match played at Grace Road ground, India Champions captain Yuvraj Singh won the toss and decided to bowl first. The West Indies Champions went to 144 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. For the team, Kiren Pollard played a bang of 74 runs off 43 balls, including 3 fours and 8 sixes. However, the rest of the batsmen of West Indies Champions could not do anything special.

For India Champions, spinner Piyush Chawla took 3 wickets, while Stuart Binny and Varun Aaron took 2-2 wickets. Pawan Negi also got 1 success.

Binny remains the hero of victory, Yuvraj-Pathan played an important role

The India Champions started to chase the target of 145 runs. Opener Shikhar Dhawan gave the team a good start by scoring 25 runs. However, Gurkirat Mann and Suresh Raina were dismissed early. After this, Stuart Binny’s storm came. Binny scored an unbeaten 50 in 21 balls while batting aggressively, including 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Captain Yuvraj Singh also contributed 21 runs, while Yusuf Pathan won the team by scoring 21 runs in 7 balls. Pathan’s innings included 1 fours and 2 sixes. After the victory, he celebrated with his children on the field.

Dwayne Smith and Dwayne Bravo took 2–2 wickets for the West Indies, but the team remained away from the victory.

With this victory, India Champions have confirmed their place in the semi -finals. Now the team will take on Pakistan Champions on 31 July. In the group stage, India refused to play against Pakistan, but now there is no hindrance in the path of this high-voltage match.
