According to data from digital loan platform RupeeReady, education-related loans are increasingly being preferred among young Indians. In the last financial year, about 14 percent of all personal loan borrowers took education-related loans.

Increased interest among youth regarding loans

The most interesting thing is that about 46% of these education-related loans were taken by people in the age group of 21 to 30 years. The same 16.1% percent of loans were taken by borrowers in the age group of 31 to 35 years. In such a situation, it points towards a necessary change, education related loans are no longer limited only to students or families paying college fees, but the youth of working age are also giving them more importance.
