The interim government led by Mohammad Yunus in Bangladesh on Monday issued a clarification on reports which claimed that Yunus had presented a map to a Pakistani military officer which showed the north-eastern areas of India as part of Bangladesh. The government described these reports as completely false, misleading and fabricated.

According to the statement issued by the government, Yunus had presented a book titled ‘The Art of Triumph’ to General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan. This is not a political or geographical document, but a compilation of graffiti art created by students in Dhaka and other cities during the July Uprising. In this book, a glimpse of Bangladesh’s civil movement, struggles and sacrifices of martyred students has been presented through colorful artworks.

Claim of showing part of India as part of Bangladesh is imaginary

The statement clarified that on the cover of the book, an artistic map of Bangladesh has been depicted in red color behind the picture of Shaheed Abu Syed. The government said that this is a map based on artistic graffiti, so slight differences in the outline of its boundaries are natural. But the claim of showing the north-eastern part of India as part of Bangladesh in this map is completely baseless and imaginary.

What else was said in the government statement?

The government statement further said that when the map in the book was compared with the official land map of Bangladesh, it was found that there was no major difference between the two. The government has appealed to the public not to believe false and misleading news, as such rumors are being spread to harm the image of the country.

Along with this statement, the government also indicated that legal action can be taken against those spreading such misinformation, so that an atmosphere of peace and harmony is maintained in the country.

Uttarakhand graduate level examination was held on 21st September. In which the students had started the movement after the paper leak, on the demand of the students, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had ordered an investigation into the entire matter. Today, the state government has taken a big decision and canceled the examination.

The agitating students have thanked the government after hearing the news of cancellation of exams. While issuing the statement, Chief Minister Dhami said that for our government, our students and youth are first, we are serious about their future.

What was the whole matter?

Let us tell you that on September 21, UKSSSC had conducted the graduation level examination, three pages of which were out through WhatsApp only after half an hour of the commencement of the examination. In this, a person named Khalid Malik had sent his papers to Assistant Professor Suman, Khalid’s sister Sabia was also involved. At present Khalid and his sister Sabia are in judicial custody.

Movement had started across the state

After this the movement started across the state. For a long time, people of the unemployed organization were sitting on strike outside the Parade Ground in Dehradun. Then Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the protest site to meet the students after about 8 days and asked them to create a culture of CBI investigation. After this, the state government had written to the central government for a CBI investigation. The second demand of the students was that this examination should be canceled and its roster should be re-released. By issuing orders in this matter today, this examination has been cancelled.

Students expressed happiness

Now the investigation of this case has been handed over to CBI. At present, happiness is being seen among the students who are protesting after the cancellation of this examination. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has once again said that for me the youth of the state are first. Even if I have to give my life for them, I can give it.

Tension has spread in the city after the murder of a class 10 student in a private school in Ahmedabad. The incident took place on Tuesday (August 19) when a student of another community studying in the 8th school in the same school stabbed to death.

In this case, there was a demonstration for the second consecutive day. On August 21, NSUI, Youth Congress and local organizations demonstrated in protest against the murder, while the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal called for the city bandh. The matter has started taking communal color and the police have detained many protesters.

Student made serious allegations against school management

The school management is being made serious allegations. Family and protesters say that the injured student was not sent to the hospital by ambulance, but was taken by rickshaw. This negligence increased the anger of the people.

The protesters demanded action on the school administration and alleged that the site of the incident was quickly cleared so that the name of the school would not come. The NSUI and Youth Congress also took the front, while the police used force to take out the protests and remove the jam from the road.

Statement and communal tension

On August 21, the student Taran, who was involved in the protest, said in a statement, “The body of the victim was lying for half an hour, but the school did not help. Parents themselves took him to the hospital with a rickshaw.” He also accused the teachers of lying and said that the school administration should be held accountable. The police has deployed additional force to handle the situation.

Police action and government’s response

The police have caught the accused student. Officials said that after the murder, the school was also vandalized. Gujarat Education Minister Prafulla Pansheria said that the matter is being investigated and strict action will be taken against the culprits. At present, the atmosphere in Ahmedabad is tense and the police has monitored the situation.

Odisha Principal Arrested: The principal of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College has been arrested in the case of a 22 -year -old student on fire by a 22 -year -old student in Balasore district of Odisha. On July 1, the student made serious allegations of sexual harassment on a college professor. He had written a long letter and mentioned the harassment and threats that have been happening for several months.

However, according to the student, the college administration and police did not take any action. 11 days later, he set himself on fire in the college campus itself. The student has been admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where she has burnt more than 90 percent and is struggling for life. After this incident, political disputes, protests of student organizations and demand for accountability in educational institutions have intensified. In view of the seriousness of the case, the administration has now arrested the principal for negligence and ignoring complaints.

Complaint of sexual harassment, still the college administration remained silent
B.Ed of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College in Balasore district of Odisha. On July 1, a student of the student had submitted a written complaint of sexual harassment and threats against his head of department Professor Sameer Kumar Sahu to the college’s internal complaint committee.

The student wrote a long letter, in which she told how her mental and physical harassment has been happening for several months. This letter was also shared by the student on the social stage, in which the Chief Minister of the state, education minister and senior officials were addressed.

Self -immolation after 12 days, condition serious
The college administration had told the student that action will be taken in seven days. But even after the twelve days, when no steps were taken, the student set fire to the main gate of the college on July 11 and sprinkled kerosene on her by spraying kerosene. He is currently on a life -saving system in the hospital in Bhubaneswar. According to doctors, 95 percent of his body has been burnt. Another student who tried to save him has suffered 70 percent burning injuries and is also undergoing treatment.

Principal and accused teacher suspended
After the incident, the police have arrested Professor Sameer Sahu. The Higher Education Department has suspended Professor Sahu as well as the principal of the college Dilip Ghosh. State Higher Education Minister Suryavanshi Suraj said that whoever is found guilty will be taken strict action. District Superintendent of Police Raj Prasad said that the teacher has been arrested. Many parties are gathering evidence and whoever is guilty will be punished.

The student asked for help before the incident
Principal Dilip Ghosh told that on the day of the incident, the student had come to meet him and said that he is under mental pressure. He had requested that teacher Sahu be called, which was called by the principal immediately. A terrible scene of this incident has come out in which the student is seen running in the corridor of the college building in the flames.
A person tries to save him, but when his clothes start burning, he retreats. After this, other people run and try to extinguish the fire.

Family accused of pressurizing
The student’s father said that the college administration had pressurized his daughter and family to withdraw the complaint. He says, “I was told that if the complaint is not removed, a case will be registered against me and I will be arrested.” He said, “I saw my daughter in the hospital. I could not even recognize her.”

Demand to meet president
Regarding this incident, Biju Janata Dal and Congress have written a letter to President Draupadi Murmu seeking time to meet him. The President is on a visit to Odisha these days.

Freedom of expression: The University of Houston of Houston has given clarification about the controversy arising on its curriculum called ‘Live Hindu Religion’. The university said that it gives importance to academic freedom and teachers are given complete freedom to consider complex and sensitive topics. This statement came when a student objected to the content of the syllabus and called it ‘Hinduphobic’.

Following the complaint of the student, the Dean of the University and the Director of the Department of Religious Studies reviewed it and discussed the subject with the teacher. The university clarified that this course is based on the principles of religious studies in which specific terminology is used to understand different religions and their traditions. The university said that words like ‘Fundamentalism’ are used to explain the historical and social processes of all religions and not for criticism of any religion.

Cleaning of Professor Ulleri

Professor Aaron Michael Ulleri, who taught this course, also reacted to the controversy. He said that his aim is to explain different forms of Hinduism and not limit it in any one definition. He insisted that his syllabus widely covers the historical and social aspects of Hinduism, which includes a journey from its origin to the present.

Professor clarification on Hinduism and Hindutva

Professor Ulleri clarified that Hinduism incorporates many different traditions and beliefs. He said that the word ‘Hindu’ was not found in Indian Sanskrit literature in ancient times but it developed as a geographical and cultural identity. He also said that ‘Hindutva’ emerged as a political ideology in 1922 and its historical aspects are impartially taught in the curriculum.
