8th Pay Commission Meeting News: Due to continuous pressure from employee organizations for salary and pension revision amid rising inflation and household expenses, discussions regarding the Eighth Pay Commission have intensified. Now very important news is coming regarding the Eighth Pay Commission. On July 6 and 7, the Eighth Pay Commission will visit Bhubaneswar, Odisha and interact with organizations, unions and employee associations. This visit is being done with the aim of strengthening regional negotiations and knowing the demands related to salaries, allowances and pensions.

In a government notice issued on May 26, the Commission said that stakeholders interested in interacting with the Commission during its visit to Bhubaneswar can submit applications on or before June 15, 2026. The notice said that organizations and unions will have to submit their requests with the “unique memorandum ID” generated after filing their proposal with the commission.

This development has come to light at a time when the 8th Pay Commission is gradually expanding the scope of suggestions in different parts of the country to gather feedback and demands from employee representatives and pensioner bodies. The commission has already held meetings in Delhi and has also announced visits to several other cities including Lucknow, Hyderabad, Srinagar, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir in recent weeks.

According to the government information, stakeholders can submit the information letter through the official website of the 8th Pay Commission. The last date for submission of information letter is May 31, 2026. The information said, ‘Information about the venue and timetable of the meeting will be given separately. The Commission also clarified that separate meetings will be held for other states and union territories at the necessary time.
