From Struggle to Success: A mechanical engineering diploma holder has shared his inspiring story, which has motivated thousands of people on social media. In a post made on Reddit, this person told how he went from a job of ₹ 21,000 per month to earning ₹ 1–2 crore annually and closing huge deals worth crores of rupees.

First job and struggle

Recalling his first job, the diploma holder wrote that after the Covid-19 pandemic, the job market was completely at a standstill and there was no option. Then under compulsion he agreed to work as a “Document Executive” in a financial firm. Despite working hard, his salary increased only from ₹18,000 to ₹21,000 in four and a half years.

The biggest change in his life came when he met a chartered accountant. That CA offered him to bring funding cases independently, which were processed through the network and the earnings were divided 50-50. The user wrote, “I am writing this because five years ago I was standing in the rain with a bag full of documents and crying because I could not afford to buy a good raincoat. Today I run my own firm and handle deals worth hundreds of crores.

Where is this person today?

He further wrote, “The market doesn’t care about your degree. It doesn’t matter to him whether you can do the work or not. Today I am a full-time financial consultant. I handle complex debt instruments like project funding, equity funding, M&A investments and high-ticket B2B loans.” Not only this, he has now forayed into commercial real estate as well.

Along with her hard work, her mother also had a big contribution in Divya’s success. His father left him early and the entire responsibility of the house fell on his mother. The mother raised three children by working as a laborer and never let Divya’s studies get interrupted. Divya often says that if my mother had not shown courage, I would not have been able to reach here today.

Divya got the inspiration to become an IAS during her school days. Once an IAS officer came to his school as the chief guest.
