The attack took place at around 8:10 pm at the office of Ranchers Karachi Transport in Gulistan-e-Johar area of ​​Karachi. First, the terrorists created a massive explosion at the main gate of the office, immediately after which heavy firing started in the entire area.

Injured paramilitary soldiers Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Has been admitted. At present, the death of 2 soldiers has been confirmed in the terrorist attack and 6 soldiers have been admitted to DUHS hospital. The death of 1 terrorist has been confirmed, who had blown himself up in a suicide attack. 3-4 terrorists are still surrounding the compound and are firing. The place where the attack took place is where the Rangers office as well as the University and the Meteorological Department are located.

Viral video on social media, deployment of heavy police force

According to the videos which are going viral on social media, heavy police force has been deployed in that area. Till the time of writing the news, firing is going on continuously. Pakistani newspaper Dawn has quoted a house as saying that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has called for a report regarding the incident. Pakistan Rangers are often deployed in Karachi to protest against law and order and terrorist activities. For this reason, the headquarters of the Rangers located in Gulistan-e-Johar is considered a high security area.

Sindh Police officials have clarified that the compound on which the terrorist attack took place is the compound of the paramilitary force Pakistan Rangers. Besides, the soldiers who killed also belong to Pakistani Rangers.

Due to the proximity of both the compounds, earlier the local administration had informed that the attack took place on the Frontier Corps compound, but now the Sindh Police has given a clarification.
