A 10th class student committed suicide after being harassed by teachers at Rajendra Place metro station in New Delhi. The student committed suicide by jumping from the metro station. In the suicide note, the 16-year-old student had alleged that he was being harassed by the school staff and had asked for action against the school teachers.

The parents of deceased student Shaurya and other students had demonstrated against the accused teachers. Strict action was demanded from the family members. Action has been taken on the demands made and allegations made in the suicide of the student. The school administration has taken strict action against the teachers and suspended them.

The school administration took this action on the incident

St. Columbus School administration has suspended four teachers in connection with the suicide of a 16-year-old minor student. The names of teachers Manu Kalra (Co-ordinator), Yukti Mahajan (TGT), Julie Varghese (TGT) and Aparajita Pal (Principal) are included in the suspended staff.

This step has been taken by the school administration in view of the seriousness of the matter. Apart from this, a high level committee has also been constituted by the Delhi Government Directorate of Education. There were continuous demands from the family members for action and justice on the death of the student.

Father of deceased Shaurya had filed FIR

Father of deceased Shaurya lodged an FIR in the police station. According to the FIR, Shaurya’s father Pradeep Patil, resident of Karol Bagh, said that his son was under constant mental pressure due to alleged harassment by several teachers.

Patil said that his son often complained that teachers used to scold him, humiliate him and harass him over small things. The FIR states that despite verbal complaints to teachers and the principal, the alleged behavior did not stop.

Shaurya’s father was out of Delhi on the day of the incident.

According to the FIR, on the day of the incident, Patil was in Kolhapur for his mother’s surgery. Shaurya left for school at around 7:15 in the morning. At around 2:45 pm, Patil received a call informing him that his son had been found lying beneath the Rajendra Place metro station.

He directed the caller to take the child to BLK Kapoor Hospital, where doctors later declared him brought dead. It is recorded in the FIR that the boy had allegedly jumped from platform number 2 of the metro station.

Priyanka Gandhi said that Aji was not the only victim and sexual abuse was widespread in RSS camps. He said that if these allegations are true then it is horrifying, because lakhs of youth and teenagers across India participate in these camps. He appealed to the RSS leadership to take immediate action and bring out the whole truth.

Priyanka Gandhi further said that sexual exploitation of boys is as serious a crime as exploitation of girls. He stressed that the trend of silence regarding these extremely condemnable crimes must be broken.

The matter took political color

After the suicide of Anandu Aji, this matter has turned into a political controversy. Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) state secretary V.K. Sanoj tried to politicize the matter and alleged that this voluntary organization was involved in the suicide of the youth.

V.K. Sanoj wrote in a Facebook post that Aji had shared his experiences, which included incidents of sexual harassment, physical assault and bullying by his colleagues and senior members. Anandu Aji was an active member of this organization and had taken its membership at the age of 14.

A very sad news has come out from Kota district of Rajasthan. Prakash Swamy, posted as a senior assistant in the collectorate, committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. The suicide note found from his house is proof that he has put the responsibility of his death on his girlfriend and his family.

Girlfriend and family responsible for suicide note

The deceased Prakash Swamy has written in the suicide note that his girlfriend Mamta Swamy (GST Inspector) and his family cheated him. He wrote-“I kept wandering in the trap of love and wandering throughout my life. I helped Mamta get a job, took care of all the needs from her studies and expenses, but she used me and left. Now I have no purpose to live.”

In the suicide note, he also took the name of GST Inspector Vishnu Sharma and said that everyone used him like a cup of tea and threw him at the end of work. In the end, he expressed his pain by writing ‘Good bye Everyone’.

5 years relationship and then cheated

Yogendra Sen, friend of the deceased, told that Prakash Swami was in a relationship with Mamta Swamy for about 5-6 years. He always took care of Mamta’s studies and personal needs.

In the year 2023, Mamta became GST Inspector and Gujarat was posting. After having a relationship with someone else there, he made distance from light.

However, on September 14, the conversation between the two started again and Mamta came to meet Prakash in Kota. But when Prakash talked about marriage, Mamta refused. He was deeply hurt by this and gradually went into depression.

Vinod Kumar, an officer of police station Nayapura, said that Prakash lived in Civil Line Quarter Number 159 with his younger siblings Gopal and Pooja Swamy. At the time of the incident, the siblings went to take the exam, and Prakash hanged due to being alone at home.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for postmortem. The suicide note has also been recovered. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

Got government job in the year 2020

Prakash Swami was originally from Dhani Gogri village in Alwar district. He studied in Kota and worked hard in the factory and got a government job. In the year 2020, he was posted as a senior assistant in the Kota Collectorate. Family members say that he should always be the support of the family.

The family of the deceased said that Prakash was the support of the family, which was taken away by deception. They want strict action against the culprits. The family has filed a police complaint against Mamta Swamy and her new lover.

Jyoti Kapoor, founder-director and senior psychiatrist of ‘Manasthali’, said that men are often prepared to suppress their weaknesses, due to which they are silently victimized by it and in many cases the result is suicide. According to Dr. Kapoor, “Understanding and supporting the mental health of men has never been so important before. We should normalize mental health, provide accessible medical resources and promote an environment that encourages emotional expression without any decision without any decision.”

Incidents of atrocities against men including false allegations, emotional misconduct to domestic violence and legal harassment, not only lead to significant psychological trauma but also reflect systematic neglect of mental health of men.

Society ignores men’s pain

A research conducted in rural areas of Haryana also revealed that 52.4 per cent of married men experienced gender -based violence without any legal support or psychological assistance. According to research, the society is continuing to ignore the pain of men and the demand of time is that immediate improvements should be made in it. Dr. Preeti Singh, Senior Advisor to ‘Seemless Minds Clinic’ and Paras Health, said that this problem has become even more complicated due to lack of legal safety measures.

Dr. Preeti Singh said that a research for 2013-14 found that 53.2 per cent of the rapes registered during that period were false, causing concern about the psychological impact on those who were victims of false accusations in psychologists and legal experts. Dr. Singh said that as a result, clinical depression, anxiety, stress disorder and long -term emotional trauma are often faced.
