Himachal Pradesh has been declared an disaster -hit state from today. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu announced this in the assembly. CM said that the monsoon was reactivated from August 21 in the state. Since then, there were many incidents of rain, cloudburst, landslides in different parts of the state.

CM said that during this time the most affected districts, Chamba, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, Mandi, Shimla, Kangra, Hamirpur were there. He said, “The initial loss of 3 thousand 56 crores has been estimated. The most damage has been done to roads, bridges, water and electrical structures. ”

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act due to the tragedy caused by the disaster in the state by the government, instructions have also been issued to the districts, state and central government departments to restore relief and rescue operations, to restore war levels for reconstruction works of infrastructure.

Stop indiscriminate construction works- CM Sukhu

The Chief Minister said that the pain of all the hill states including Himachal is our shared pain. This is also a matter of national concern, not just geographical crisis. Because global warming is the most on the mountains. Consciousness and action in time are the biggest need today. I urge the Central Government to stop indiscriminate construction works. Because our mountains are not just a tourist destination, but pillars of life-protection.

CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that house, livestock and farming have suffered heavy damage in disaster. Our government is standing with the affected brothers and sisters in this difficult time. We are leaving no stone unturned in rehabilitation work.

What does it mean to be a disaster?

Being a disaster affected state means that the government has kept it in a special category, considering the condition of natural disasters serious. The state may get additional help and funds for relief and rehabilitation from the central government and other sources. Relief rescue operations, reconstruction and help of victims will be rapidly done.

On this occasion, various department heads of medical colleges gave their presentation. The Chief Minister said that according to the needs of every medical college, the state government will provide all possible assistance.

Machines older than 20 years will be replaced

The Chief Minister said that within a year, machines and equipment older than 20 years will be replaced in government health institutions. The facility of robotic surgery will be started within two months at Super Specialty Hospital Chamiana and Tanda Medical College. Three Tesla MRI machines are also being installed in all medical colleges.

He said that the previous governments did not pay any special attention to improve health services, due to which the patients are facing various problems. The present government has given priority to improvement in education and health and Rs 1350 crore is being spent on medical technology. He said that the government will provide funds to make hostels for the students studying medical and the parking facility will be strengthened for the patients as well as the staff.

Para medical staff as well as technician recruitment

CM Sukhu said that the state government is trying to fill various vacant posts in the health department along with the use of modern technology. The state government is filling the posts of doctors and nurses will be given priority in the recruitment of nurses during the recruitment of nurses. He said that along with para medical staff, technicians are also being recruited. We are ensuring doctors-marriages ratio and nurse-marriages ratio according to international standards so that they can get a better environment for work.

The Chief Minister said that the premium health institutes of the state have become only referral health institutes, so there is a need for extensive improvement in them. The state government has spent Rs 100 crore for improvement of health services in IGMC Shimla and Rs 200 crore will be provided to improve it in the coming time.

Constant efforts to improve health services

He said that due to the restoration of old pension to government employees, many economic sanctions have been imposed on Himachal Pradesh, but despite this, the state government is trying to improve health services. He said that patients always come to the hospital with hope of recovering, in such a situation, if the doctors talk to them well, then their suffering will be reduced. Doctors need to change their behavior.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Colonel (Dr.) Dhani Ram Shandil said that such dialogues are important in the improvement of health services. All medical professionals are doing better work in state health institutions and efforts should be continued to make it better. He said that there is a lot of progress in the field of medical education and the state government is making serious efforts to provide modern machines in Himachal Pradesh, so that people can get better health facilities near the home.

I demanded them to stop the import of apples from these countries. PM Modi said that he would see that there will be no harm to Himachal’s gardeners.”

CM Sukhu demanded big demand from central government

CM Sukhu also said in the meeting that the central government should also cooperate in the expansion of Kangra Airport. He said, “We will spend 50% of the cost of airport expansion, the remaining 50% has sought from the central government.” The Chief Minister said that the state should get 50% royalty from the power projects which are waived. Along with this, he said that Himachal Pradesh is going through a period of financial reforms, so the state should be given financial assistance from the Center.

PM Modi made this appeal to the states

In the meeting of NITI Aayog on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi appealed to the states to focus on developed India. He said that his goal should be to make every state, city, municipality and village ‘developed’.
