Tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan has increased once again. Kabul has taken strict action by accusing Pakistan of attacking universities and residential areas and has summoned Pakistan’s Charge d’Affairs in this matter.

Pak official summoned in Kabul
Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affairs in Kabul. According to the ministry, this action has been taken in protest against the alleged attacks on a university located in Kunar province and on civilian targets and public structures around the Durand Line.

Allegations of attack on university and residential areas
Afghan officials say that on Monday, mortar and missile attacks were carried out by Pakistan, in which a university in northeastern Afghanistan and surrounding civilian areas were targeted. At least 7 people died in this attack, while 85 people are said to be injured.

News of attack in Asadabad also
According to local officials, along with houses in the capital Asadabad, Syed Jamaluddin Afghani University was also targeted. Taliban government’s deputy spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat also alleged that these attacks were carried out by Pakistan. He said that mortars and rockets were fired at around 2 pm on Monday afternoon.

Pakistan called the allegations false
Whereas Pakistan has completely rejected all these allegations. Pakistan’s Information Ministry says that the news of targeting universities and residential areas is completely wrong and baseless.

First violence after peace talks
It is noteworthy that in the beginning of April, peace talks were held between the two countries under the mediation of China. After this, this is being said to be the first major incident of violence. Earlier on Sunday, news of violent clashes had come to light on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Kandahar area. According to reports, there was firing between the two sides in Spin Boldak area, in which six Pakistani soldiers were claimed to have been killed.

Hostage and counterclaims
Quoting sources, it was said that Taliban fighters took a Pakistani soldier hostage and also took weapons with them. However, these claims have not been officially confirmed yet. It is being told that a local child died in the firing from Pakistan late night, after which the Taliban retaliated. After this incident the tension between the two countries has increased further.

Ahead of the assembly elections, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is in full swing in Bengal and has been taking intensive action since April 1 in at least 19 cases of money laundering involving ministers, senior police officers and alleged key political middlemen.

Rishi Raj, one of the directors of I-PAC summoned
On Monday, the agency summoned Rishi Raj, one of the directors of I-PAC, a political consultancy firm linked to TMC. Besides, former Principal Secretary of the State Education Department and senior IAS officer Manish Jain was also called for questioning in connection with the SSC recruitment scam. Another director of I-PAC, Prateek Jain, has been summoned several times in the past, which has accelerated the investigation into this high-profile political consultancy firm. Vinesh Chandel, the second director of I-PAC, is currently in ED custody.

DCP Shantanu Sinha Biswas missing
Intensive investigation of I-PAC led to speculations that this firm, which was important for TMC’s election campaign, had closed down its operations. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee denied this. TMC said that these baseless speculations have been made to create confusion. On Sunday, the ED conducted searches at the residence of Kolkata Police Special Branch DCP Shantanu Sinha Biswas, who is being investigated in the case of alleged fake NRI quota admissions in private medical colleges in West Bengal. DCP Shantanu of Kolkata Police is reported missing after ED summons. He has not been able to be contacted since the raid in Kolkata.

TMC MP Nusrat summoned wherever
The questioning of IAS officer Manish Jain comes soon after the raids on the premises of former minister and Banerjee’s close aide Partha Chatterjee. Biswas, along with former Jhargram collector Sunil Aggarwal, is already under investigation in sand mining, money laundering cases and a coal mining scam. His close aide Jai S Kamdar was arrested on Sunday after the ED accused him of having links with gangster Sona Pappu and involvement in cross-border and domestic hawala transactions.

More than 3 million documents released on Friday provide evidence of frequent contacts between Maxwell and people associated with Clinton’s staff between 2001 and 2004. Currently Ghislain Maxwell is in jail in sex trafficking case.

Traveled in Epstein’s private plane 16 times

According to CNN, during the same period, Bill Clinton and his staff traveled on Epstein’s private plane at least 16 times. Flight records subpoenaed during Maxwell’s 2021 sex-trafficking case show that the former US president traveled both in and out of the country on Epstein’s private jet. Many times Epstein and Maxwell also accompanied him on these trips. Some of these journeys were long and made stops in many countries.

Pictures of both have already surfaced
In the first part of the documents related to Epstein, some such photographs taken together of Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein were also revealed, which had never been made public before. Apart from this, a picture was also revealed in which Clinton was seen in a hot tub with a man without a shirt. A US Justice Department official had described the man as a victim of Epstein’s sexual abuse.

Preparation for vote on contempt motion in the House
The Republican-led House is expected to vote this week on a bill to convict Bill and Hillary Clinton of contempt of Congress. This is because both of them had refused to testify in the investigation of the Epstein case.

In some emails, Maxwell’s language also appeared quite flirtatious. In an email, she wrote that she told a tabloid that the guy in front of her was a super stud, she had a crush on him and he was as strong as a horse and further wrote that I hope you don’t mind.

Another email, which is said to be from 2002 and in which the sender’s name is hidden, reads, ‘I had gone home with someone with whom I had gone before. She was a 40 year old white widow. I really should drink less alcohol.

Clinton spokesperson’s statement
Bill Clinton’s spokesperson Angel Urena has said that Bill Clinton did not send any of these emails. He said, ‘I cannot tell who sent these emails, but I can definitely say that Bill Clinton did not send them.’ He also told that Clinton has sent email only twice in her entire life. Once to astronaut and senator John Glenn while he was President, when he was in the Space Shuttle, and secondly to American soldiers stationed in the Adriatic area.

Mention of allegations against both Trump and Clinton
Recently released documents also mention a list of some allegations related to sexual exploitation against current US President Donald Trump. These allegations are said to be based on information without solid evidence and were collected by the Justice Department last year. Allegations against Clinton are also included in this list. Questions raised on company’s expenses
The Economic Offenses Wing asked the employee questions related to the company. The branch is trying to find out how salaries are paid to the company’s employees. Was part of the salary paid from the company’s earnings or was the salary money brought from somewhere else also? Was Rs 20 crore spent on furnishing offices?

The investigation branch will also interrogate the companies furnishing the offices. Earlier, Shilpa Shetty had sought permission from the court to go abroad, but the court had rejected the petition saying that first pay the fraudulent amount and then go where you want to go.
