Sunil Shetty recently told why despite being a Mangalorean, he works mostly in Bollywood and why he rejects films of South Indian cinema. He told that he gets offers for many films, but he does not sign those films because Bollywood heroes mostly play the role of villain in South films.

Speaking to The Lallantop, Sunil said, “I get offers (from the South), but unfortunately, you will see this trend that we get offers for negative roles. They want to make the Hindi hero look strong… From a villain’s point of view, (they say) it is good for the screen and also for the audience but that’s the only thing I don’t like.”

He said, “I was doing films with Rajini sir only because I wanted to get a chance to work with him.” Sunil said, “Recently, I did a small Tuku film to promote a film which is performing really well. Its name is ‘Jai’.” He appeared in a small role in ‘Jai’. He further said, “Today there is no language barrier. If there is any barrier, it is probably because of the content. If your content is good, it will cross all barriers.”

Sunil had talked about his diet in an old podcast with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath. He had said, ‘Normally, when I am at home, I have a protein rich heavy breakfast. I eat 4 eggs. Dairy products do not suit me much. That’s why I avoid them.

Sunil takes 150 to 200 grams of fish and chicken in lunch and dinner. He takes 1600 to 1700 calories in his daily food diet, which also supports his workout.

Apart from this, regarding sugar, Sunil said, ‘Yes, I eat sugar, because I do not believe in sugar substitutes. For me it’s either fruits or sugar. He drinks one cup of tea in the morning and another cup in the evening. He enjoys both the cups of tea without any guilt.

Despite his strict diet routine, Sunil eats sweets. He likes sweets very much. Sunil had told, ‘I like fruits very much. I love mine sweet. If you tell me no sweets after dinner, I will go crazy. Sunil does not eat after 7 o’clock at night. They give time to their food to digest.
