The actor is celebrating his 68th birthday on Sunday. He was born in Punjab to actor Dharmendra and his first wife Prakash Kaur. The actor wanted to work in films since childhood after seeing his father and being a star kid, Sunny did not have to work hard to enter films. Sunny Deol’s childhood was a bit difficult because he had dyslexia, due to which he had trouble in reading, writing and even remembering. He himself had revealed that due to this disease he had to be beaten many times.

Very few people know that Sunny’s real name is Ajay Singh, but before entering films, Dharmendra changed his name to Sunny Deol. Sunny Deol is the son of veteran actor Dharmendra and acting is in his blood, but before debuting in Hindi cinema, he did an acting course.
