Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya has given a big statement about the Rashtriya Janata Dal ahead of the Bihar assembly elections. He has said that RJD should perform alliance religion in Bihar elections. Supriyo Bhattacharya has given this statement if JMM was not called in the meeting of Grand Alliance parties in Bihar.

JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that we are not being called, so we are not going there. We are an independent political party, our organization is in Bihar. In the coming time, we will show strength there.

RJD-Congress is placed in an alliance with honor- Supriyo Bhattacharya

Supriyo Bhattacharya further said, “I want to tell RJD and Congress that we have kept them in our alliance with respect. RJD should perform alliance religion in Bihar elections.” Significantly, there is a government of JMM-Congress and RJD coalition in Jharkhand.

Actually, the stir is getting intensified due to this year’s assembly elections in Bihar. Meetings of political parties and coalitions are also being held. All political parties are busy making their respective strategies. The constituents of the grand alliance of opposition parties met on Thursday, in which detailed discussion was held on all issues.

What was discussed in the meeting of Mahagathmbadhan?

The meeting held at the government residence of Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly and head of the Grand Alliance Coordination Committee, also discussed the format of seat sharing, communicating on the election strategy and surrounded the ruling party. The coordination committee and sub -committee people also attended the meeting.

Senior leaders of Left parties including Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, Mukesh Sahni, Congress in -charge Krishna Alwaru and Congress state president Rajesh Ram were present in the meeting. In a conversation with reporters after the meeting, Tejashwi Yadav said that this meeting was already decided. People of all committees arrived and discussed in this meeting. Even before this, we have held a meeting to prepare for the assembly elections. JMM was not called in this meeting.

Bihar Vidhan Sabha Chunav 2025: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has clarified that it can field as an independent political party apart from the India alliance in the Bihar assembly elections. The party’s central general secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya while talking to the media at the party office on Monday (June 16, 2025) said that we have our own organization in Bihar and we are ready to land on our own.

In fact, the India alliance had recently organized two meetings for the preparations for the Bihar assembly elections and the sharing of seats, but the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha did not get any invitation for this. On the question of media in this regard, the General Secretary of JMM said, “If they are not calling us, we are not even going to enter there. It is our independent identity and it is certain that we will showcase our power there.”

‘We have to his only MLA…’

Bhattacharya further said, “We want to tell the Congress and RJD that in Jharkhand we kept them with us and gave proper respect. In the last assembly election, RJD had won only one seat in Jharkhand, but we kept his only MLA in the cabinet for a full five years. This is because we had come together in the election field and we should show all the coalition religion.

Please tell that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has been fielding its candidates in Bihar assembly elections even before this. In 2010, JMM candidate won the Chakai assembly seat. This time the party has identified 12 assembly seats adjacent to Jharkhand in Bihar, where it has influence. These seats include Tarapur, Katoria, Manihari, Jhajha, Banka, Thakurganj, Rupauli, Rampur, Banmankhi, Jamalpur, Pirpainti and Chakai.

The party believes that there is a large population of the tribal community in these areas, the policies of its tribal interest in these areas and the work done in Jharkhand can attract voters. JMM has already started meeting with local leaders and workers in these seats.
