Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav has become a father. According to Times of India, his wife Devisha Shetty gave birth to a daughter on Thursday, May 7. Earlier it was reported that Suryakumar has not left for Raipur with the MI team due to personal reasons, where Mumbai is scheduled to face RCB on May 10.

The IPL 2026 season has not gone well for Suryakumar Yadav, but amidst this difficult period, he got the happiness of becoming a father. Due to spending time with family, he may sit out of the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 10.

Got married in 2016

Suryakumar Yadav and Devisha Shetty know each other since college days. They studied at RA Podar College of E-Commerce and Economics, where they met friendship and then love. After dating each other for many years, both of them got married in 2016. Both of them often share pictures together on social media and Devisha keeps coming to the field from time to time to support Mumbai Indians and Team India in international matches.

Suryakumar struggling with bad form

Suryakumar Yadav has been struggling with poor form for a long time. So far in IPL 2026, he has been able to score only 195 runs in 10 matches and the average is only 19.5. Only one half-century innings has come from his bat in the entire season. The strike rate of Suryakumar, who usually bats with a stormy strike rate of 160-170, has fallen to 145 this season.

Suryakumar Yadav’s poor form means that the middle order of Mumbai Indians has been seen struggling badly, because Tilak Verma has also not been able to do anything special this season except one century, on the other hand, captain Hardik Pandya is also continuously flopping.
