It has been a long time since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left this world. Sushant was found dead in his home in June 2020. Sushant’s family had called it not suicide but murder, after which the case was handed over to CBI. In Sushant’s case, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was accused and she was also in jail for about a month. In the investigation of the case, CBI has said that there is no evidence that Rhea Chakraborty had instigated Sushant to commit suicide. After which Riya was proved innocent in March this year. After CBI gave clean chit to Rhea, Sushant’s family has protested against it.

Sushant’s family says that this report is incomplete and an attempt has been made to hide the truth as part of the superficial investigation. The family has decided to challenge the CBI closure report in the court.

The lawyer said this
Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer said- This report is just a pretense. If CBI wanted to bring out the truth, it would have filed evidence like chat records, technical data, statements of witnesses, medical reports, bank statements in the court. This has not been done. We will file a petition against this closure report. This is a weak report which will not hold up in the court.

Let us tell you that CBI had filed two closure reports in March. The first report was based on the complaint of Sushant’s father KK Singh. In which it was alleged that Rhea had instigated Sushant to commit suicide and had misused his property. Secondly, a complaint was lodged against Riya by her sisters. According to CBI report, Sushant had committed suicide. Rhea and Sushant were not living together between June 8-14. Riya and her brother Shouvik left home on June 8.

Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has reacted to the CBI closure report in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. He said that it has become clear from the CBI investigation that Sushant was not murdered but was a suicide. Anil Deshmukh said that the allegations of embezzlement against actress Riya Chakraborty have also proved to be wrong. Describing Deshmukh, describing the political conspiracy, he said that the matter was unnecessarily given to the Bihar assembly elections. He told that Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide in June 2020.

Anil Deshmukh was the Home Minister at the time of the incident. Mumbai’s Bandra police completed the investigation. It is clear in the DCP report that murder was not suicide. According to Deshmukh, during the Bihar assembly elections, the matter started taking political color. Sushant’s father lodged an FIR in Patna. He claimed that Riya Chakraborty embezzled Sushant’s Rs 15 crore. Sushant Singh’s case was handed over to CBI. The Central Investigation Agency filed a closure report in the court on Saturday after a long investigation.

The report said that Sushant’s death was suicide. Riya did not make any embezzlement. Riya’s case was fought by famous lawyer Satish Manshinde. Deshmukh said that the CBI investigation brought the truth to everyone. He also questioned the claims of Narayan Rane. Rane had said to be a video by quoting the servant. There is proof of Sushant being killed in the video. Deshmukh asked why Rane did not hand over the Mumbai Police or CBI despite being a video?

He called me mere rhetoric. In the Disha Salian case too, Rane claimed to have received a call twice. The matter became popular with the name of Aditya Thackeray. Deshmukh said that there seems to be a conspiracy to discredit Aditya Thackeray. Describing the case as a political conspiracy, he said that Sushant and Disha case were wrongly linked. He justified the CBI report and said that now the truth has come in front of everyone.

Sushant Singh Rajput Case: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a closure report in the court in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput case. In the final report filed by the CBI on Saturday (March 22, 2025) in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the real cause of death has been described as suicide.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his house in Bandra on 14 June 2020. At first glance, the case was suicide, but later the investigation of the case was handed over to the CBI.

What was said in CBI report?
1. Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide, no one was forced.
2.ia Chakraborty and his family got a clean chit.
3. No criminal angle or ‘foul play’ (conspiracy) was found.
4. The Forensic team also rejected the possibility of murder.
5. Investigation was done by sending social media chats to America, no evidence of molestation was found.

Family allegations and legal dispute
Explain that Sushant’s family had lodged an FIR in Patna against Riya Chakraborty and others, accusing them of abetment, fraud, theft and illegally hostage for suicide. This led to a dispute between Bihar Police and Mumbai Police over the jurisdiction. On the recommendation of the Bihar government, the Central Government had approved the CBI investigation of this case. After which on 19 August 2020, the Supreme Court gave the CBI the right to fully investigate the matter.

Now the court will decide whether the CBI report should be accepted or further investigation.

Do Sushant’s family have any legal option?
In fact, after the CBI’s closure report is filed, Sushant’s family has the only option that he can file a Protest Petition in the Mumbai court. If the family suspects the CBI report, then they can also appeal to the court.
