Bihar CM Oath Taking Ceremony: After NDA’s massive victory in Bihar assembly elections, Nitish Kumar is once again going to take charge of power. Nitish Kumar is going to take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time today i.e. on 20th November. The swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister will take place today at 11:30 am. During this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present, apart from this, Chief Ministers of 20 states and senior leaders of NDA are also expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Regarding Nitish Kumar taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time, this question is arising in the minds of many people that which is the leader who has taken oath as the Chief Minister the most number of times. Is Nitish Kumar’s name also included in this list? So today let us tell you who is the leader who has taken oath as CM the most number of times.

Leader who took oath most number of times

Bihar leader Nitish Kumar also holds the record for taking oath as Chief Minister most number of times in Indian politics. He has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar nine times so far and this will be his tenth swearing-in ceremony. Nitish Kumar has remained at the center of Bihar politics since 2005. Since 2005, alliances have changed in Bihar, equations have changed, but for the last 20 years, Nitish Kumar’s dominance has remained on the Chief Minister’s chair. This time, even after the big victory of NDA in the assembly elections, he was elected the leader of the legislative party and now he is going to form the government in Bihar again.

Who is the leader who has been CM for the longest time in the country?

Nitish Kumar has taken oath as Chief Minister the most number of times in the country in terms of the number of oath taking oaths. However, Nitish is still behind many leaders like Kumar in terms of serving as Chief Minister for the longest period. The record of serving as Chief Minister for the longest period in Indian politics is in the name of Pawan Kumar Chamling, who has been the Chief Minister of Sikkim. Nitish Kumar is currently at 8th place in this list. If he remains the Chief Minister till 2030, he can be included in the top-3 of this list.

List of leaders who have been CM for the longest time

Pawan Kumar (Chamling Sikkim) – 24 years 165 days

Naveen Patnaik (Odisha) – 24 years 99 days

Jyoti Basu (West Bengal) – 23 years 137 days

Gegong Apang (Arunachal Pradesh) – 22 years 250 days

Lal Thanhawla (Mizoram) – 22 years 60 days

Virbhadra Singh (Himachal) – 21 years 13 days

Manik Sarkar (Tripura) – 19 years 363 days

Nitish Kumar (Bihar) – 19 years 93 days

Bihar CM Oath Ceremony: Preparations are on for change of power in Bihar. The stir in state politics, meetings in the corridors of Delhi and administrative activities at Gandhi Maidan in Patna all indicate that the swearing in of the new government is likely to take place on November 20 at 11:30 am. The date of swearing-in usually seems like a formal announcement, but in Indian tradition it is considered a mirror of the coming five years of the state.

The importance of the auspicious time of taking oath is not only spiritual or symbolic. This reflects the environment in which the government begins its term. From the old royal courts of India to the modern democracy, the time of beginning of the kingdom has been chosen considering the date, day, constellation and position of the planets. There is no guarantee that the government will succeed or fail, but tradition believes that the calmer and more balanced the energy at the beginning, the less conflict the path ahead will have.

20 November 2025: What does the Panchang indicate?

Tomorrow i.e. Thursday will be the date of Amavasya of Krishna Paksha. In the scriptures, Thursday has been described as a symbol of policy, knowledge, governance and advice. According to the calendar, the time of swearing-in has been kept at 11:30, during which the Moon will transit in Scorpio.

The conjunction of 4 planets in Scorpio is giving big signs

On this day, among all the 12 zodiac signs, Scorpio is the only zodiac sign in which maximum activity is being seen. For many years, a conjunction of four planets has formed in Scorpio, which represents a rare astrological combination. On this day, there will be Anuradha Nakshatra, which is the constellation of Saturn. In politics, Saturn is considered a symbol of the public, this coincidence also indicates auspiciousness.

New government of Bihar, the path is not easy!

The special thing is that the deity of this constellation is Mitra Dev who is also called the god of harmony. This is an excellent coincidence for the alliance. There will be no problem in taking all the allies along. But one of its specialties is that Anuradha Nakshatra has the influence of both Saturn and Mars, due to which qualities like determined, stubborn and very ambitious are also seen. That is, in the coming times, things will be seen in the decisions of the government and the nature of the allies.

What will happen if you take oath on Thursday?

Taking oath on Thursday is considered auspicious in Indian tradition because the work of governance and policy is considered under Guru energy. Shukla Paksha is considered good for new beginnings. Moon being in Scorpio indicates speed in work. That means whatever decision the government takes, it will try to implement it immediately.

Is it right or wrong to choose Gandhi Maidan for swearing in?

Gandhi Maidan is a major public place of Patna. Big political events have been taking place here, hence its selection is natural administratively. In traditional beliefs, open grounds and large public spaces are considered auspicious because they symbolize the direct evidence of the public, widespread acceptance and the open flow of state energy.

History of ‘Nitish’ oath

Nitish Kumar is one of the few leaders of India who took oath several times and each oath opened a new chapter of politics. The change of regime in 2005 was a steady start, and the alliance remained intact throughout. In 2010, the oath taking ceremony took place at a relatively balanced time. The five-year tenure was completed without any major controversy. The transition of 2017 occurred during turbulent political times and the power equation changed within a year and a quarter.

These examples prove that in Bihar politics, the ‘beginning’ often decides the future direction, be it the planets, the public mood or the Centre-State equation.

What is the political signal of Modi, Nitish and NDA?

Thursday makes the role of the Center stronger. Nitish’s experience and PMO’s political strategy indicate stability in the initial months. There will be coordination within the NDA initially, but in the first 60-90 days, there may be slight tussle regarding ministries. Traditionally it is not considered a factor affecting long-term stability, but is considered part of the initial energy balance.

What will be the opposition?

The current movement of Rahu-Ketu does not allow the opposition to organize immediately. The position of the Moon also gives an initial edge to the ruling party at the time of oath taking. But it is also true that the political rise of the opposition may intensify again in the middle of 2026. This trend is not only of the planets but also of the political cycle.

2025-2030: What will be the direction of Bihar?

2025-26: Administrative speed, Centre-State coordination, policy reforms

2026-27: Some reshuffle in the cabinet

2027-29: A period of stability and big decisions

2030: Possibilities of change in the form of leadership and alliance

Overall, the moment of oath does not decide the fate of the state, but under the energy of which planet or constellation it begins, it definitely becomes the tune of the coming years.

Bihar Shapath Muhurat 2025: In India, power may be determined by assembly figures, but its lifespan is often considered to be influenced by the moment the new Chief Minister takes oath. Amidst the rush of political decisions, the hustle and bustle of media and the glitter of alliance equations, one element always works in the background – Muhurta, i.e. the right time when a new chapter of power is started. The tradition of astrology believes that the state is born at that very moment and that moment later becomes the basis of direction and stability of the entire governance.

For this reason the date of swearing in is never normal. In the old royal courts, it was decided by secret calculations, and even in today’s democratic politics, discussions take place behind the scenes regarding this date.

For Nitish Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NDA leaders and the opposition, this moment is not symbolic but a starting point of energy. There may be facial expressions on stage in front of the public, but tradition says that the real game is decided by the celestial situation of the moment in which the government takes oath.

In texts like Muhurta Chintamani, separate instructions have been given for government works. It is believed that events like oath taking, coronation, change of capital and declaration of war should take place at a time which indicates growth, stability and security.

If the beginning happens in a turbulent time where the Moon is weak, there is pressure from Rahu-Ketu, or the time comes in a conflict-prone Nakshatra, then the government later faces internal tension, distrust, alliance-breaking, or public dissatisfaction. Although this is not a political guarantee, there are many examples in history where the nature of the oath-taking period appeared to match the subsequent political environment.

Bihar is a living example of this. Nitish Kumar has taken oath several times in the last two decades and after every oath the complexion of politics changed. The 2010 term was considered relatively stable because it started in a balanced time, whereas the change of power in 2017 happened at a time when the planetary situation was tense, as a result, within a year and a half, the system was shaken and a new political turn took place. All this shows that in a state like Bihar, the moment of oath taking often leaves a decisive signal.

There are not just local equations behind the oath taking ceremony at Raj Bhawan in Patna. Delhi politics, role of Prime Minister Modi, pressure from NDA and strategy of opposition decide the political temperature of that moment.

The tradition of Muhurta believes that if the Sun and Jupiter are strong then the influence of the central government increases and if the Moon is weak then the mood of the public changes quickly. Seen from this point of view, the date of oath taking, November 20, not only decides the balance of power between Bihar but also between Patna and Delhi.

If the oath taking ceremony takes place on a date like 20 November 2025, on a Thursday, after Amavasya or in a supporting constellation like Anuradha-Rohini, then traditional belief considers it to be a sign of a stable government. In such beginnings, the internal strife of the coalition gradually subsides and the government starts running within its own structure.

But if the oath is taken at a time when the pressure of the planets is high, the constellation is harsh or the Moon is weak, then this situation is created which Muhurta tradition calls the land of discord. In the beginning, there is a smile of celebration on the outside, but gradually disagreements arise on the inside.

This beginning is important for the opposition also. If the government is born in a balanced time, then the opposition is not able to become an effective face in the first clash, but if the time is turbulent, then the opposition can weaken the energy of the government in the initial months itself by giving a big shape to small disputes.

The truth of democracy is that the success of the government depends on the people, policies and system. But the Muhurat definitely tells in which direction the beginning is taking place and many times the beginning wind itself changes the direction.

Nitish Kumar Shapath Grahan: The politics of Bihar is again at a decisive juncture. Amidst the possibilities of change of power, a date is making rounds in the political circles ’20 November 2025′. This date is currently being considered as a possible date for the oath-taking, but the real question is why this date? Is this only the result of the thinking of the administrative officials or is there such energy of this day which even the leaders cannot ignore?

Astrology, Numerology, Madini Shastra and ancient texts Brihat Samhita, Muhurta Chintamani and Matsya Purana describe this date as extremely unusual and when it is combined with the central political energy of the ruling power of Bihar i.e. Nitish Kumar, NDA and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the picture becomes even deeper.

Shocking sign of Nitish’s 10th oath

If the oath takes place on November 20, it will be Nitish Kumar’s 10th oath. The root number of number 10 is 1 and the lord of number 1 is Sun, which is the planet of power, ego, leadership and decisiveness. This means that this oath will be the beginning of Nitish 10.0, a version which is more indicative of tough decisions rather than softness. The scriptures say that the Sun-dominated Muhurta gives birth to a harsh form of power.

A rare coincidence happening after 20 years!

There will be a new moon till the morning of November 20, a date which is considered negative by the common people, but in political scriptures it is called the rebirth of the royal cycle. According to astrology, if the beginning of power occurs with auspicious yoga at the end of Amavasya, then the rule is long and effective. Overall, this is a reset button for Nitish and NDA. A time when the old energy ends and a new era of power begins.

Thursday to enhance coordination between center and state

November 20, 2025 is Thursday and the lord of this day is Jupiter, the planet of politics, cabinet, policy and justice. Thursday in Chintamani Muhurta is considered best for government work. It has a direct connection with governance and politics. Only Jupiter i.e. Guru gives a high position in politics.

If seen, this coincidence is also connected with the horoscope of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This time is Sun-Jupiter dominant for them. This means that this date further strengthens Modi’s leadership and the command structure of NDA. Simply put, if the oath takes place on November 20, the Centre’s hold on Bihar will be more influential than ever before.

Journey from power struggle to cooperation

On November 20, the Nakshatra will be Vishakha in the morning and Anuradha will start after 10:58 am. While Vishakha is a factor of conflict, conflict and disagreement, Anuradha Nakshatra shows friendship, alliance and coordination. According to Brihat Samhita, this constellation change starts the journey from conflict within power to cooperation. That is, the beginning will seem a bit controversial, but gradually the new alliance will seem to become stable and strong.

In Bihar, the oath of Chief Minister has been taking place at two places, Raj Bhavan and Gandhi Maidan. According to Vastu, the direction energy in both is very powerful. The main entrance of the Raj Bhavan faces east which reflects the direction of the sun. Gandhi Maidan in the north-east influence zone. Muhurat Shastra says that any royal work done from East or North-East direction never gets interrupted. That is, the space-energy also matches the planetary structure of 20 November.

Role of NDA and PMO?

The horoscope of November 20 strengthens three things-

power direction by central leadership

Tightening of alliance from Prime Minister level

Decisive intervention of the Center in major decisions of the state

This means that the role of PMO will increase immensely in the decisions taken in the coming years in Bihar.

Future of Bihar and 5 big possible events

If the oath taking ceremony takes place on 20th November 2025, then according to Madini astrology, the following changes may be seen in the next years for Bihar-

1. First year – strict administration and big actions

The influence of Saturn-Aries makes administration fast and harsh. Big decisions on police, law and order and bureaucracy.

2. Initial conflict in alliance, then stability

The change of constellation from Vishakha to Anuradha gives this pattern. The first 90 days will be stressful and after that a situation of strength and coordination will be visible.

3. Budget 2026 – big shock or big experiment

The movement of Jupiter indicates comprehensive improvements in education, agriculture and infrastructure.

4. Opposition at its weakest in 2026–27

Rahu-Ketu repeatedly weaken the opposition’s strategy. That means the government will dominate the opposition and will not give any chance.

5. 2027-Major restructuring within power

A major reshuffle of ministries, change in administrative faces, and a new round of political equations will begin.
