During this time he also staked claim to form the government. Vijay also handed over letters of support from other parties to the Governor. Chief Minister will be Vijay only. And 9 ministers will take oath in the cabinet. Of these, six could be TVK ministers and three could be Congress ministers.

TVK had a total of 107 MLAs. Due to this, there was confusion regarding government formation, but with the support of VCK and IUML, TVK crossed the majority mark. Vijay needed 118 MLAs to become the Chief Minister. Now the party has a total of 120 MLAs. Vijay can take oath as Chief Minister on Sunday.

Who can become minister in Tamil Nadu government?

These ministers include TVK’s Sengottian, Adhav Arjun, N Anand, Arun Raj, Nirmal Kumar and Rajmohan. Apart from these, 3 Congress MLAs are included. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister-designate and TVK chief C. Joseph Vijay will take oath at 3.15 pm on Sunday.

Now 121 MLAs are in support of TVK with the support of Congress, CPI, CPIM, VCK and IUML. The path has been cleared for him to form government in the state. Earlier, news had come that the Governor was scheduled to go to Kerala by flight at 7.10 pm, but he had canceled his visit.

In the election results declared on May 4, TVK emerged as the largest party in Tamil Nadu. TVK got 108 seats. Hung Assembly has been formed in the state. Here DMK has got 59 seats, AIADMK has got 47 seats and Congress has got 4 seats.
