Tariq Rahman Oath: Today, not just movement, but a deep restlessness can be felt in the streets of Dhaka. When Tariq Rahman will take oath as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh on 17 February 2026 at 4:00 pm, he will end the political drought of two decades, but the ‘mohurta’ in which he is taking over the reins of power looks no less than a quagmire. Power is standing at the door, but the real question is whether once the door is opened, will it lead to stability or to endless conflict?

The mandate has given them the garb of victory, but the real challenge is to sustain this historic change. Bangladesh is currently caught in a dangerous triangle of empty treasury, pressure from foreign powers and sharp political polarization.

In-depth analysis of Medini astrology and Muhurta principles makes it clear that this is not a time for any celebration, but is preparing a blueprint for a major policy and strategic struggle. Will this ‘coronation’ of February 17 be able to overcome the astrological flaws hidden in its foundation? Know:

Curse of solar eclipse: Coronation under the shadow of eclipse!

The most shocking and scary fact in this entire incident is that Annular Solar Eclipse is taking place on 17 February 2026. In astrology, this is considered the biggest sign of ‘rajbhang’.

According to Medini astrology, if the Sun gets eclipsed on the day of oath, then that power will never be able to rule happily and peacefully. Even though this eclipse is not completely visible in Bangladesh, but according to cosmic calculations both the Sun (king) and the Moon (people) will remain in the clutches of Rahu.

History is witness to the fact that changes in power that occur under the shadow of an eclipse often prove to be ‘incomplete’ or ‘short-lived’. This stain on the sun will raise questions on the credibility of Tariq Rehman at the international level. This is a beginning where preparations have been made for darkness to fall on the sun as soon as it rises.

Indication of auspicious time: New beginning in ‘Andhere’

According to the astrological book ‘Muhurat Chintamani’, the oath taken by the head of any nation writes the future fate of that country. The timing of 17 February 2026 is highly disputed by three technicalities:

Shadow of Amavasya: This day is of Amavasya. In astrology it is considered a point of completion, not of illumination. Its meaning is clear – the new government will inherit only debris and distrust. This will not be a time for celebration of development, but a struggle to heal old wounds.

Rahukaal’s attack: The time of oath is in the circle of Rahukaal. Rahu means illusion, propaganda and social media. The first fight of the government will be to save its ‘image’ more than its policies. The opposition will be so aggressive on digital platforms that the government will not get time to breathe.

Obstacles of Parigha Yoga: ‘Parigh’ means obstacle. The work started during this period gets so entangled in administrative slowness and legal hassles that the files are not even able to come out of the offices.

Horoscope at the time of oath taking and gathering of planets in the eighth house

The horoscope of 17th February is of Cancer ascendant. Cancer is a ‘changeable’ zodiac sign, which is unstable and fickle by nature. The most scary sign is given by the eighth house of the horoscope (Aquarius). Here Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Rahu are sitting together in the horoscope. In astrology, the eighth house is of ‘secret conspiracies’ and ‘sudden crises’. This means that the real enemies will not be outside, but hidden in the corridors of power.

Mars being exalted in the seventh house is creating ‘Ruchak Yoga’, but it is ‘set’. This means that the government will look very strict and powerful from outside, but from inside its decisions will be weak. Excessive use of army or police will ultimately prove costly for the government.

treasury empty and lack of power

The mathematics of Ashtakvarga of the horoscope tells how the government’s pockets and power will be. Only 20 points in power house. Having so few numbers in Leo (power house) is a sure prediction that the treasury is empty. Lack of foreign exchange reserves and banking crisis can break the back of the new government.

The abundance of numbers in the sixth house (house of opponents) indicates that the government will waste its energy in court and quelling internal rebellions instead of development.

What will happen to the common people of Bangladesh?

This period is not going to be like a ‘honeymoon period’ for the people there. There is no possibility of inflation coming down. Tariq Rehman’s ‘family card’ and employment promises will turn turtle due to budget constraints. In exchange of free facilities, the public will have to drink the bitter sip of stringent taxes and subsidy cuts.

The government will use the baton to improve law and order, but the feeling of political vendetta will create insecurity in the minds of the common man. This is the time for minority communities to tread very carefully. There are indications that the ideological war between the young and old political parties of the 2024 revolution will repeatedly take the form of ‘people’s movement’ on the streets of Dhaka.

relations with india

Relations between Delhi and Dhaka will now be based on ‘give and take’. Due to rising nationalist tone, issues like Teesta water and border dispute will become heated again. China’s trap and pressure from the West can be seen. The influence of Rahu indicates that Bangladesh will be badly trapped between China’s debt and sanctions from western countries.

Biggest prediction: Great crisis of 2027 and re-election!

Right now the Mahadasha of Mars is going on, which is a time of strictness. But the real test for Bangladesh will begin in October 2027. As soon as Rahu’s Mahadasha arrives in October 2027, the destructive forces of the eighth house will awaken. According to astrology, the presence of Lagnesh in the eighth house with Rahu indicates a major constitutional crisis or a coup.

The movement of the planets is indicating that by the end of 2027 or the beginning of 2028, the country will stand at such a juncture where re-elections (Mid-term Elections) will be the only way out. This government will struggle very hard to complete its tenure.

Natural disasters will add fuel to the fire!

The influence of Dhanishtha Nakshatra indicates a major cyclone or earthquake in the initial months of the oath taking ceremony, which will be the first litmus test for the government.

Although power may be in the hands of men, the position of Venus in this horoscope suggests that the opposition or sudden emergence of a woman will shake the foundation of this government.

The position of the planets here also indicates a special sign. This could be the first such government in history which will be tried to destabilize with ‘cyber war’ and ‘deep-fake’ technology.

Bangladesh begins an unstable journey

Overall, the deep signs of astrology are showing that the wait in the air of Dhaka is not just for a ceremony, but for a blurry future. This oath of 17 February 2026 is not an easy beginning. This is the sum of power amidst struggle.

Medini astrology says that this government is part of a ‘transition period’. If the leadership does not focus on economic reforms instead of vendetta politics, then the dark shadow of Rahu can again throw the country into the fire of instability. The sign of time is clear, this chapter will be short, but very painful.

Preparations for change of power have started in Bangladesh. The newly elected government of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is going to take oath on Tuesday. Before the swearing-in ceremony of the government formed under the leadership of party president Tariq Rehman, Chief Advisor to the interim government, Muhammad Yunus has invited leaders of 13 countries to attend the ceremony.

Which countries got invitation
According to the report, the countries that have been invited include India, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Malaysia, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan. The swearing-in ceremony will take place in the South Plaza of the National Parliament. BNP got a big victory in the recently held 2026 general elections.

Statement regarding PM Modi
BNP leader ANM Ehsanul Haq Milan on Saturday expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would also be invited to the function. Speaking to journalists in Dhaka, he said that all leaders of South Asia should be invited. He said, ‘This is common courtesy. The organizers will do this work. We hope that the whole world will be with us.

BNP also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for congratulatory message on its victory. The party wrote on X, ‘Honorable Narendra Modi ji, thank you very much for your message. We are grateful to acknowledge the leadership of Tariq Rahman in BNP’s decisive victory in the national elections.

Emphasis on relations with India
BNP has expressed its desire to build better relations with India. The party said it wants to work together with India with mutual respect and understanding of each other’s concerns. The statement said that both the countries can move forward together for peace, stability and development in the region.

Importance of 2026 elections
The general elections held on 12 February 2026 are being considered special. This election took place after massive protests in 2024, due to which Sheikh Hasina, who was in power for a long time, had to step down. In the 300-seat Parliament, 151 seats are required to form a government and BNP won much more seats than this. After this, Tariq Rehman is being considered as a contender for the post of Prime Minister.

The Islamic Jamaat-e-Islami alliance has emerged as the main opposition in this election. The voting percentage was around 59 percent. Along with this, a constitutional referendum related to governance reform was also passed.

Tarique Rahman Oath Ceremony: Dhaka is going to witness a big political moment on 17th February. Bangladesh Nationalist Party President Tariq Rahman will take oath as the next Prime Minister of the country. With this, BNP will formally return to power. The ceremony is likely to be held in the southern courtyard of the Bangladesh Parliament House and will be watched by the entire South Asia.

According to NDTV report, the day will start with the swearing-in of newly elected MPs. After this the new Prime Minister and Cabinet will be sworn in. Tariq Rehman will be administered the oath by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin. This will signal a change of power as per the constitutional process after the general elections.

BNP called it a historic day

Talking to a news channel, BNP spokesperson described February 17 as a historic day for Bangladesh. He said the formation of the new government will mark the beginning of a new political chapter after a long and closely monitored election period. He also said that there will be special attention to the presence of international leaders in Dhaka.

Invitation sent to leaders of 13 countries

Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Professor Muhammad Yunus has invited the heads of 13 countries to attend the oath ceremony. The invited countries include India, China, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Malaysia, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan.

All eyes on India’s participation

India’s invitation holds special significance. According to NDTV report, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been formally invited, but his chances of attending are slim due to his pre-scheduled engagement with French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai on the same day. In his place, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar or Vice President CP Radhakrishnan can represent India at the ceremony.

Important signal for regional politics

Diplomatic experts believe that India’s participation will be watched carefully. This will indicate in which direction India-Bangladesh relations will move under the leadership of BNP. Relations with New Delhi had been complex during previous BNP governments, but in recent statements party leaders have emphasized regional cooperation, trade, connectivity and stability.

Tariq Rahman: The recent elections in Bangladesh have paved the way for Tariq Rahman and his party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to return to power in the country after 20 years. The elections held on February 12 ended a 19-month political vacuum in Dhaka following the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League government following a student-led protest in 2024. With Tariq Rehman likely to take oath next week, all eyes are on what further steps Dhaka takes regarding former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her exile in India.

BNP’s winning message and emphasis on democracy

After BNP got two-thirds majority in the general elections, Tariq Rehman’s party has given mixed signals regarding bilateral relations with India and Hasina’s extradition process. In his address the day after Friday’s victory, Tariq Rehman gave a message of unity and emphasized on democratic values. He said Bangladesh is about to embark on a new journey, ‘amid a weak economy that was left behind by an autocratic regime.’ He said, ‘This victory is of Bangladesh. This is the victory of democracy. This victory belongs to those who sacrificed for democracy. From today we are all free, the feeling of real freedom and rights has returned.

BNP’s stance on India-Bangladesh relations

When he was asked a question on India-Bangladesh relations, Tariq Rahman emphasized on the Bangladesh first policy. He said, ‘The interests of Bangladesh and its people will decide our foreign policy.’ He had earlier also said that the BNP government will maintain balanced relations with neighboring countries like India, China and Pakistan and will not consider anyone as its master.

Hasina’s extradition issue

On the day of Tariq Rehman’s victory, senior BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed again reiterated the demand for Sheikh Hasina’s extradition from India. Hasina has been living in India since August 5, 2024, when she had to resign from Bangladesh under pressure from the student movement. In November 2025, the International Criminal Court (ICT) of Bangladesh convicted him of crimes against humanity related to the crackdown on the 2024 protests and sentenced him to death. Dhaka has demanded India to extradite Hasina to Bangladesh.

Salahuddin said, ‘We always demand his extradition as per the law. This is a matter between the foreign ministries of the two countries. We have requested the Indian government to send him back so that he can face trial in Bangladesh. Tariq Rehman also said on the issue of Hasina that the extradition of the former Prime Minister depends on the legal process.

Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday (20 November). Along with Nitish Kumar, who became the Chief Minister for the 10th time, 26 ministers also took the oath of office and secrecy. This time many new faces have been included in the cabinet, in which a person who did not contest in this election has also been made a minister, his name is Deepak Prakash.

You may not know Deepak Prakash directly, but everyone knows his father very well. Deepak Prakash is the son of prominent leader of Bihar Upendra Kushwaha. Upendra Kushwaha is known for his ‘Lav-Kush’ equation, which links the OBC Kurmi and OBC Kushwaha (Koeri) groups together. These classes have a good population in Bihar and Kushwaha is one of the most influential leaders of this community.

Upendra Kushwaha gave a chance to his son

Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), as an ally of NDA, won four out of six seats in this election. Despite this, Upendra Kushwaha left his MLAs for the post of minister and gave the opportunity to his son Deepak Prakash, who is currently not a member of any House. He will have to become a member of the Legislative Council or Assembly within the next six months.

On which seats did RLM win?

RLM won Bajpatti, Madhubani, Sasaram and Dinara seats. In Bajpatti, Rameshwar Kumar Mahato won by 3395 votes, in Madhubani, Madhav Anand won by 20,552 votes, in Sasaram, Upendra Kushwaha’s wife Snehlata won by a margin of more than 25 thousand votes and in Dinara, Alo Kumar Singh won by 10,834 votes.

RLM, contesting assembly elections for the first time, has got a ministerial post in Nitish cabinet. Upendra Kushwaha has established his son Deepak Prakash on the political stage by making him a minister, while his wife will remain active with her victory in the assembly.

A major political upheaval has been seen in the newly formed Nitish Kumar cabinet in Bihar. This time Deepak Prakash has been appointed to the post of minister without becoming an MLA. This step is being seen as a political move by Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha. Initially, the name of his wife Snehlata, who was elected MLA from Sasaram from Kushwaha’s party, was proposed for the post of minister, but at the last moment the equations changed and the situation was completely reversed.

How did Upendra Kushwaha make the deal?

This development is related to Upendra Kushwaha’s displeasure at the time of seat distribution in NDA. It is being said that due to resentment he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and took the promise of an MLC seat. Taking full advantage of this opportunity, Kushwaha made a big political deal. He made his son Deepak Prakash a minister in place of his wife. It is noteworthy that Deepak Prakash has not participated in any election yet.

 Deepak Prakash’s claim confirmed

After joining the Nitish cabinet, it is mandatory for Deepak Prakash to become a member of the Legislature (Legislative Council or Assembly) within six months. With this, his claim for the MLC seat has been confirmed and the political equations have become stronger in his favor.

In this way Upendra Kushwaha achieved two big goals in one effort. He got his son a ministerial post and also ensured the promise of MLC seat from NDA. In such a situation, the strength of Upendra Kushwaha will increase in the Legislative Council also.

Who is included in Nitish cabinet?

1. Samrat Chaudhary
2. Vijay Sinha
3. Vijaykumar Sinha
4. Shravan Kumar
5. Mangal Pandey
6. Ashok Chaudhary
7. Lacey Singh
8. Madan Sahani
9. Nitin Nabin
10. Ramkripal Yadav
11. Santosh Kumar Suman
12. Sunil Kumar
13. Jama Khan
14. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal
15. Sanjay Singh Tiger
16.
The politics of Bihar is welcoming a historic moment today. Nitish Kumar, who has been the center of stability and experience in the state’s politics for a long time, has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time. Like last time, this time also two Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha also took oath along with him. This clearly shows the message of balance of power and division of work within the new government.

Nitish Kumar taking oath for the 10th time is a new political chapter for Bihar. From the new team with Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, the public expects better administration, speedy development works and stable government. Today is going to add another important page in the history of Bihar politics.

NDA achieved a big success by winning 202 seats

NDA has achieved a major success by winning a total of 202 seats in the recently held Bihar Assembly elections. This victory is not only a proof of the strength of NDA, but also once again confirms the popularity and leadership ability of Nitish Kumar in the political scenario of Bihar. After this big victory, today Gandhi Maidan of Patna is completely ready for the swearing-in ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended

Extensive preparations were made to make the swearing-in ceremony of Bihar Chief Minister grand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself attended the ceremony. Along with him, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, several Union Ministers, heads of NDA constituent parties, Chief Ministers of various states and senior leaders at the national level were also present. This swearing-in ceremony is also going to prove to be a big platform to showcase the unity and political power of NDA.

Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha took oath as Bihar Deputy CM.

There are many political equations behind the decision to appoint two Deputy CMs. Samrat Choudhary was considered a contender for the post of Chief Minister, while Vijay Sinha is counted among the strong leadership of BJP. By giving both of them the post of Deputy Chief Minister, NDA has tried to achieve organizational balance, social representation and political message. Due to this, the expectation of strengthening the functioning of the government in the coming days has also increased.

Tight security arrangements at Gandhi Maidan

Tight security arrangements have been made for the oath taking ceremony at Gandhi Maidan. The entire area is buzzing with the activities of police, administrative officials and technical teams. Special arrangements have been made for surveillance, barricading and VIP movement through drone cameras. LED screens installed in the grounds, party posters and newly decorated stages are making this event more grand.

Bihar Election Result 2025: The results of Bihar Assembly elections have come, NDA has won a landslide victory in this election. Meanwhile, a question arises whether a candidate’s MLA salary starts from the next day after his victory? Let us know what is the answer to this question.

when does salary start

By winning elections, no leader automatically gets the salary and facilities of an assembly member. Actually this right starts only when he officially assumes office and takes oath in the state assembly. After the election results are declared, the winning candidate has to complete a formal swearing-in ceremony in the presence of the pro-tem speaker of the assembly or a nominated officer. Till he takes oath he is only an elected MLA. Salary and other financial benefits start from the date of swearing in.

rules as per state

Let us tell you that the salaries and allowances of MLAs in India are controlled according to the law passed by every state legislature. In such a situation, the structure, amount and payment process may differ from state to state. After taking oath, MLAs become eligible for many other allowances and benefits apart from their basic salary. Like constituency allowance. This allowance is to meet the expenses of maintaining contact with voters and focusing on constituency issues.

Apart from this, there is office expense allowance. It is given for managing administrative and operational tasks related to its role. Along with this, facilities like travel and daily allowances, medical and housing benefits are also provided. All these benefits are implemented after the swearing in, not directly after the election results.

Why is this rule

In fact, these rules ensure that public funds are not distributed to persons who have not yet held formal duties or responsibilities. This rule maintains transparency, accountability and procedural fairness in the use of taxpayers’ money. The time between result declaration and swearing-in usually ranges from a few days to weeks. During this period, the elected MLAs are in the transition period and do not yet have any legislative powers.

Also read: What do officers do before starting counting? These things will surprise you

Sushila Karki: Former Nepal Chief Justice Sushila Karki was sworn in as an interim Prime Minister on Friday. President Ramchandra Paudel administered him the oath of office and secrecy at a special ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas. Vice President Ramsahay Yadav, Chief Justice Prakash Singh Rawat, government officials, army and security chiefs as well as members of the diplomatic community were present during this period.

Heads of both houses of Parliament did not attend the swearing -in ceremony of Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki. Despite being sent from Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire and the President of the Rashtriya Sabha Narayan Dahal boycotted the ceremony. Ghimire is an MP from CPN UML (Oli’s party), while Dahal CPN comes from the Maoist Center (Prachanda’s party). Both leaders are opposing the decision to dissolve Parliament. After taking oath, President Ramchandra Paudel told Karki, “Now save the country, be successful.” Karki did not respond to this and went ahead by saying thanks only.

‘The purpose of saving the constitution and maintaining national unity’
President Paudel appointed Karki as Prime Minister using constitutional rights. At the same time, the interim government was entrusted with the responsibility of conducting general elections within six months. The move was taken after the recent Gen Z movement and the decision of fracturing Parliament. Although there was a proposal to form a three -member cabinet, the ministerial posts could not be agreed. In such a situation, Sushila Karki will temporarily take charge of all the ministries.

Who was in the race besides Sushila Karki?
Long meetings were held before the 73 -year -old Karki had agreed on the name. Gen Z faction, President and Army Chief were also involved in these meetings. Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah and former head of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kurtman Ghising were also included in the race for the interim Prime Minister. But Balen Shah himself denied this post.

Why did Gen Z agree in Karki’s name
Sushila Karki has been Nepal’s first woman Chief Justice. During his tenure, he took a tough stance against corruption, making them popular among the youth. This is the reason that angry with the old system, Gen Z agitators accepted him as an interim Prime Minister.

Will Gen Z representative join the government?
At present, according to reports, representatives of GEN Z agitators will not directly join the government. However, they will monitor the interim government and keep an eye on the fact that decisions should be taken on the future of the youth.

Gen-Z protesters’ terms

General elections in 6 to 12 months : The first demand of the agitators was that general elections should be held in the country as soon as possible, so that the public can choose the government of their choice. Karki has accepted it.

Parliament dissolved: Nepal’s Parliament was dissolved under pressure from GEN-Z protesters and now the command of power is in the hands of Sushila Karki.

Construction of Civil-Sensies Government: The agitators had proposed that both citizens and the army should be represented in the government. Karki has also accepted this demand.

Reinnces on corruption: The protesters said that the movement was not only against social media ban, but corruption is the main reason. He proposed to form a powerful judicial commission to investigate the property of old parties and leaders.

Independent investigation into violence: A fair and independent investigation of the violence during the movement was also demanded. Sushila Karki has agreed to this so that the victims can get justice.
