Batting first, the Japanese team could score only 116 runs for nine wickets. UAE achieved the target by losing two wickets in just 12.1 overs. The UAE has qualified for the World Cup by finishing in the top three at the Asia-East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers in Oman.

In this way, it has joined Nepal and Oman who had confirmed their places on Wednesday, thus completing the final list of 20 teams for the global tournament.

At the same time, the teams of Ireland, New Zealand and Pakistan confirmed their places on the basis of ranking. Canada made it from America Qualifier, Italy and Netherlands from Europe Qualifier. Apart from these, Namibia and Zimbabwe had qualified from the Africa Qualifier. On the other hand, India and Sri Lanka have made their place as hosts.

The ICC T20 World Cup was started in the year 2007. At the same time, India became the champion of the last edition. This time she will come out to defend her title.

Namibia and Zimbabwe qualified for the ICC Men T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka next year. Both teams have reached the semi -finals of the Africa regional final in Harare.

Namibia defeated Tanzania in the first semi -final while Zimbabwe defeated Kenya. Both teams qualified with Africa in the T20 World Cup to be held in February March 2026.

The ICC said on its website that now Asia for this tournament to be held next year. Three quota places are to be determined from the EAP qualifier. Namibia has played the last four men T20 World Cup and reached Super 12 in 2021. Zimbabwe was missed on making a place in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

What are 17 teams
The names of a total of 17 teams have been fixed for the T20 World Cup 2026 so far. Apart from champions India and Sri Lanka, the names of the team of Australia, Afghanistan, England, New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan, America, Ireland, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Zimbabwe and Namibia are named.

At the same time, the remaining three teams will be decided by the East Asia Pacific qualifying round, in which the teams of Oman, UAE, Qatar, Nepal, Samoa, Kuwait, Malaysia, Japan and Papua New Guinea will participate. These teams are divided into a separate group of three-three, in which from October 8, Oman will be played at Al Amrat Cricket Ground.

A big change has been made before the women Blind T20 World Cup 2025 to be held for the first time. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, has now been removed. The reason for this was the political instability and recent violent performance in Nepal.

This historic tournament will be played in India from 11 to 25 November, in which teams from seven countries will participate – Australia, England, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and America. A total of 21 league matches, two semi -finals and final matches will be played in this tournament.

Why was Nepal’s venue removed?

The tournament was to be held in New Delhi and Bangalore under the earlier scheme, but in view of the political tension between India and Pakistan, Kathmandu was made a neutral venue for Pakistan’s matches so that Pakistan could also participate in this tournament.

Now, due to the deteriorating situation, the Indian Visual Cricket Association (CABI) announced that it is not safe to hold the match there due to the violent demonstrations in Nepal. In such a situation, the new second neutral venue for Pakistan’s matches will be decided soon.

Indian team preparations

India is a host in this tournament as well as a strong contender. The Indian women’s blind team won the gold medal at the IBSA World Games held in 2023 last year. At that time, there was also a debut of blind cricket. In the final of the tournament, India had shook Australia.

After the discovery of 56 players from across the country in the Indian team, a 16 -member squad has been selected. Deepika TC of Karnataka has been made captain and Ganga S Kadam of Maharashtra has been made the vice -captain.
