Talking about the match, Italy won the toss and decided to bowl. The Scottish team, who came to bat first, put 207/4 runs on the board in 20 overs. Opener George Munsey played the biggest innings for the team and scored 84 runs in 54 balls with the help of 13 fours and 2 sixes. Brandon McMullen, who came at number three, scored 41 runs by hitting 4 sixes in 18 balls.

Italy flop in run chase

Italy had a good start when they came on the field for the run chase. The team had crossed the 100-run mark in the 11th over. From here it seemed that the team would easily win. But after this, Scotland made a strong comeback and started sending Italy’s batsmen to the pavilion. Giving an update, Rob Walter said, “There is a little illness in the camp. Unfortunately at the moment Devon and Rachin are victims of viral infection, which I think is part of the tour. Rachin is in the room next to me and his voice was not sounding good all night so I think he is probably struggling with something.”

Third player injured

Apart from the two sick players, the team’s star batsman Finn Allen is suffering from a shoulder injury. In this way, all three players of the team can miss the practice match against USA. Now it will be interesting to see whether all the players of the Kiwi team are able to remain fit till the beginning of the tournament or not. It is not a good sign for any team if players get injured or ill before a big tournament.
