T20 World Cup Semi Final Rain Rules: All four teams of the 2026 T20 World Cup have been revealed. India, South Africa, New Zealand and England are the four teams going to the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played between New Zealand and South Africa in Kolkata on 4 March. India and England will face each other in the second semi-final to be held on March 5, which will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Nature has no control over it, in such a situation, if it rains during the semi-final matches or the match is canceled due to any other reason, then how will the team going to the final be decided? Know here ICC’s rule regarding rain.

If it rains in the semi-finals, what are the rules?

Suppose the semi-final match between India and England does not take place on March 5 due to rain. In such a situation, the rule of reserve day will come into effect. Let us tell you that reserve days have been kept for the semi-final and final matches. This means that if the India-England match cannot be held on March 5, it will be held on March 6.

If the reserve day is also washed away in the rain, then how will the team going to the final be decided? If no game is played even on the reserve day, then the team finishing higher in the Super-8 will get entry into the finals. This means that if both the semi-final matches are not played even on the reserve day, then South Africa and England will reach the final.

Semi-final schedule?

India’s semi-final match in the 2026 T20 World Cup will be held on March 5, in which it will have to face England. This match will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Before that, the first semi-final match will be held on March 4, in which South Africa and New Zealand will face each other. This match will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
