26/11 Tahevur Hussain Rana, the conspirator of the Mumbai terror attacks, seems to be very upset about the ongoing trial against him in India. Sources told ABP News that Rana asked his lawyer during his appearance in Patiala House Court whether the case would be over in a year.

According to sources, Rana is constantly worried about the trial and is questioning the period of this process in India. During the appearance, Tahwwur Rana had demanded the Holy Quran in the jail, which the court approved and ordered the NIA to provide the Quran. Apart from this, the NIA special court of Patiala House Court has also allowed Rana to meet his lawyer. Now his lawyers will meet Rana at the NIA office on Monday.

NIA made a big claim in court

According to the news agency PTI, it is being told that Rana is being questioned on the basis of various evidences collected by the investigating agency, which includes a large number of phone calls between him and co-speculator David Coleman Headley alias Dawood Gilani. American citizen Headley is currently lodged in US jail. During Rana’s appearance, the NIA claimed in the court that it suspected that Rana had hatched a terrorist conspiracy like 26/11 Mumbai attacks to target many Indian cities.

There will also be questioning about Rana’s close ones

Government sources said that Rana will also be questioned about the people he had met, especially about an alleged major contact in Dubai, which is said to know about the conspiracy of Mumbai terrorist attacks.

Rana can meet lawyer every other day

In its order, the court also directed the NIA to conduct Rana’s medical examination every 24 hours and allow him to meet his lawyer every other day. Rana has been accused of many crimes including conspiracy, murder, terrorist acts and forgery. After registering the case in 2009, the NIA investigation also found the role of terrorists of Pakistan-based terrorist group Harkat-ul Jihadi Islamic (Huji) in the investigation of the NIA.
