He wrote in his post, ‘Our soldiers are reporting that the mercenaries from China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and African countries are participating in the war. We will answer this.

However, this is not the first time that Volodimir Jailonsky has made such a claim. Earlier, while sharing a video, he claimed that Ukraine had caught 2 Chinese citizens while fighting for Russia. Jailonsky had told that the caught Chinese citizens are in custody.

Jailonsky’s statement about Istanbul talks
Amid the war, recently Ukraine President Jailonsky said that after the talks in Istanbul in July, Ukraine and Russia have agreed to exchange 1,200 prisoners. An agreement has been reached between the two countries regarding this. Jailonsky had said that the list of people who are to be swapped are being prepared, so that our common citizens can come back.

Indus water treatment: The Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is stunned by the action taken by India on Pakistan. Addressing a program in Tajikistan, Shahbaz Sharif compared the Indus Water Agreement to the Gaza crisis. He said that the world is watching the wounds being given using weapons in Gaza. It looks like a wound was not enough. Now we are seeing water used as weapons.

‘PAK will not let the red line cross on the Indus Water Treaty’

According to the report of Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Shahbaz Sharif said that India is using water as weapons, but Pakistan will not allow the Indus water to cross the red line on the water treaty. Shahbaz Sharif has said these things at the international conference on the conservation of glaciers in Dusamba, the capital of Tajikistan.

Shahbaz Sharif said, “India’s unilateral and illegal decision to postpone the Indus Water Treaty, which controls the water sharing of the Indus basin, is worrying. The lives of millions of people should not be taken hostage for political gains. Pakistan will not let this happen. We will never let the red line cross.”

‘Water is being used as weapons’

Prime Minister Shahbaz said, “Today the world is facing fresh mark of using traditional weapons in Gaza, which has left deep wounds. Now another dangerous weapon is being used by stopping water.” After the Pahalgam terror attack, India had taken many tough decisions, including posting the Sandhu Water Treaty. The Pakistani PM did not mention even once in his entire speech why India took this strict action.

When was the Indus Water Treaty?

The Indus Water Treaty is a historic agreement between India and Pakistan. This happened in 1960. It was signed by the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the then President of Pakistan Ayub Khan. In this, the World Bank played the role of an intermediary. The purpose of the treaty was to end the dispute by setting the conditions of water sharing of rivers between the two countries. The Sindhu river system includes a total of six rivers, including three Eastern rivers Ravi, Beas, Sutlej and three western rivers Sindhu, Jhelum, Chenab.

What will be affected on Pakistan?

Under this agreement, India has got the right to control and use of Eastern rivers, while Pakistan has got control of Western rivers. About 80 percent of Pakistan’s agricultural irrigation is dependent on the Indus water system. With the ban of India on the Indus Water Agreement, water will not reach water in the Indus River in Pakistan, which will create water crisis and it will directly affect the cultivation there.

Shehbaz sharif: During the tension with India, many countries openly supported Pakistan. In view of this, Shahbaz Sharif is now visiting those countries. In this episode, he reached Azerbaijan on Tuesday (May 27, 2025) after Iran.

Shahbaz Sharif arrived at Lachin, Azerbaijan to attend the summit on Tuesday. Earlier, he first reached the Turks in his journey started on 25 May. The Prime Minister of Pakistan will visit Tajikistan at the end of his visit on 30 May. The Associated Press of Pakistan quoted the Prime Minister’s Office as saying that the Prime Minister was welcomed by Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jehun Bireramov, Pakistan Ambassador Qasim Mohiuddin and other diplomatic staff when they reached the launch.

Sharif will attend Pakistan-Turkish-Azerbaijan summit

According to the report of the Government Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the Pakistan-Turkia-Ajarbaijan Triplate Summit with President Recep Tayip Erdoan and Ilham Aliyev. He also has a bilateral meeting with the President of Azerbaijan. The visit of four countries included Shahbaz Sharif along with Pakistan Army Chief (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Aaseem Munir, External Affairs Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatami.

Shahbaz government is ready to interact with India

In Istanbul, Shahbaz and Erdogan confirmed their support for each other’s main concerns, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. In Tehran, Shahbaz Sharif expressed his desire to talk with India to resolve many current issues including Kashmir and water security.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that during his visit, Prime Minister Shahbaz will hold extensive discussions on many issues including bilateral relations and regional matters with the leaders of these countries. It says that during the recent crisis with India, they will also get an opportunity to express their glory and thank you for the support given to the friendly countries.

The name of this airbase is- Gissar Military Aerodrome or Annie Airbase, which was built by the then Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government in the 90s.

Pakistan put the army on alert on the eastern border
There are such news in media reports that Pakistan’s focus is currently on the attack from the previous side. Aerial security systems have been activated, their stance has been diverted to the Indian border and mock drills are being made. Here, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also given instructions for mock drills in states and union territories on Monday (May 5, 2025). On May 7, these mock drills are to be done in 244 districts across the country.

Islamabad, just 600 km from India’s airbase
If India attacked this airbase in Tajikistan, Pakistan will be completely destroyed. Annie Airbase is just 15 km from Tajikistan’s capital Dusamba, from where Peshawar is 500 km, while Islamabad and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) is 600 km away and the city is just 150 km from Afghanistan border.

How can India attack with Annie Airbase?
India have two routes to attack Annie Airbase. One is an attack on Pakistan by crossing Afghanistan, the other is the Vakhan Corridor, which is present between PoK and Northern Tajikistan. Both routes are weak in terms of security.

In the first route, Indian aircraft will have to go through Afghanistan, where there is a shortage of air security, so it is easier to target Pakistan from here. There is no security on the route with Wakhan Corridor, so it can be useful at such a time. Some reports have claimed that India has deployed SU-30MKI fighter jet here.

Tajikistan airbase made in Atal Bihari Vaypayee government
The Indian Army has been present in Tajikistan since the 90s. After the 9/11 attacks in the US, Indian officials decided to upgrade Annie Airbase, with the current National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and former Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa was also involved.

The then Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government and then Defense Minister George Fernandes also supported the project and India created a 3,200 meter long runway here and the necessary facilities for aircraft were also upgraded.

Earthquake in tajikistan: According to the National Earthquake Science Center (NCS), on Sunday (April 13), a 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in Tajikistan. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 km above the ground.

The NCS reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was 38.98 degrees north latitude and 70.61 degrees pre -longitude. Posting on X (first Twitter), NCS wrote, “Earthquake intensity: 4.5, date: 13 April 2025, time: 8:04 pm (IST), location: Tajikistan, Depth: 10 km.”

Two more earthquakes in Tajikistan

According to the National Earthquake Science Center, two more earthquakes were recorded in Tajikistan on Sunday. The intensity of the first earthquake was 6.1 on the Richter scale, while the intensity of the second was 3.9. Both earthquakes came at a depth of 10 km from the ground.

The United Nations Development Coordination Office says that the areas of Tajikistan and the weak communities living there are constantly in danger of natural disasters like earthquakes, floods and landslides. These disasters are becoming even more dangerous due to climate change. Every year thousands of people become homeless due to these disasters and also damage the country’s economy. This affects about 1.3% of Tajikistan’s GDP (GDP).

Earthquake tremors were felt in many countries on Saturday too

Fast earthquake tremors were felt in India and its neighboring countries on Saturday afternoon. Along with the Kashmir region of India, there was an earthquake in Pakistan, Tajikistan, Tonga and Papua New Guinea. The intensity of these earthquakes was between 4.0 and 6.0 on the Richter scale. The tremors in Tajikistan and Pakistan were quite strong, while the intensity of the earthquake was also measured in Tonga and Papua New Guinea.

There was a 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Pakistan on Saturday afternoon. Its center was in Rawalpindi near the capital Islamabad. People felt shocks in many parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). There were strong tremors in Islamabad, stuck, Chakwal and other cities of Punjab as well as in areas like Peshawar, Mardan, Mohammad and Shabakdar.
