Tamil Nadu Cabinet Expansion: In Tamil Nadu, Congress has supported Chief Minister Vijay’s party TVK. Now party general secretary KC Venugopal has given information regarding this to the cabinet on Wednesday. He has said that two Congress MLAs in Tamil Nadu will take oath as ministers in the government cabinet on Thursday. Congress MLAs Rajesh Kumar and P. Vishwanathan will be part of the Tamil Nadu government. With these MLAs, Congress is joining the cabinet of Tamil Nadu after 59 years.

National President of Congress gave approval to the MLAs

Posting on X, he said that INC President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the inclusion of INC MLA Advocate Rajesh Kumar and Thiru P. Vishwanathan in the Tamil Nadu cabinet. He will take oath as minister tomorrow. This is a historic opportunity for us, because Congress is joining the Tamil Nadu cabinet after a long gap of 59 years.

He said that I convey my best wishes to him, we are confident that he will fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people of Tamil Nadu. Will work to realize the bold vision of welfare and pro-people governance set by LOP.

Government formed in Tamil Nadu under the leadership of Vijay’s TVK

In the recently held Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026, actor Vijay’s party TVK, formed three years ago, had won the maximum number of seats. This was a historic reversal. With the support of Congress, CPI, CPIM and IUML, Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister. With this political change, DMK and AIDMK of the state were ousted from power after a long time. Vijay’s party has also proved its majority during the floor test in the assembly elections.
