Chief Minister MK Stalin explained the reason for giving coupons

On this he said, ‘If we give cash directly, then there is a fear that it will be spent on other minor expenses of the house. We want that the women of the house should have the freedom to buy the goods of their choice. The coupon means that they can buy any major item like washing machine, TV, fridge or mixer as per their need or can exchange the old one for a new one. During this, Stalin quipped, ‘Our manifesto was a hero in the 2021 elections, but this manifesto is both a hero and a heroine.’
