Exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen will return to Kolkata next month after nearly two decades. She will participate in the anti-radicalism literary program to be organized in the city on August 1. He had to leave Kolkata in 2007 after violent protests against his writings. Now his return is being considered politically important. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government of West Bengal is presenting this as a change in its alleged old policy of bowing to religious fundamentalism.

Will participate in anti-radicalism program

Taslima Nasreen told in a social media post that she will attend the program organized at Rabindra Sadan. He is expected to recite poetry in the program. Organized by a group of secular and anti-fundamentalist organizations, this program has become important beyond the literary realm. The event is taking place months after the BJP came to power in West Bengal and amid the ongoing political debate over freedom of expression, secularism and the state’s relationship with religious sentiments.

Nasreen is returning to Kolkata after 20 years

One of the organizers, Mohit Roy, associated with Paschimbangar Jono organization, said that this program is a celebration of Nasreen’s return to Kolkata after 20 years. He said that on November 21, 2007, Nasreen had to leave the city due to the then Left Front government succumbing to fundamentalist forces. He told that Chief Minister Shubhedu Adhikari will also participate in this program.

Following the publication of parts of Nasreen’s autobiography ‘Dvikhandita’, there were protests at several places in the city, after which the then government asked her to leave Kolkata. He was first sent to Jaipur and then to Delhi. Later the central government granted him long-term stay permission and multiple entry visa.

Agnimitra Paul’s statement on Taslima’s arrival in Bengal

Minister in West Bengal Government, Agnimitra Paul said on Taslima Nasreen’s visit to West Bengal, ‘During the time of the previous government, she was not given a chance to come, will not say this but she was not given security. He was used and the opposition people talk so much about Muslims but when he wrote the truth in the book, he was not given security and people of every religion were used in the TMC government. Today, Taslima Nasreen ji is coming to the government of Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari on the 1st, it is a matter of pride and happiness for us.

In the parliamentary elections of Bangladesh, the public has finally awarded former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s party BNP with a resounding victory. Khaleda’s son Tariq Rahman will take oath as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh tomorrow i.e. on Saturday. This was the first election which was held without the Awami League. Bangladesh’s exiled writer Taslima Nasreen has reacted after the election results came out. On the defeat of Jamaat, he said that it was good that the Islamist Jihadi terrorist group lost in this election.

Taslima Nasreen wrote- I am not happy because BNP won…

Taslima Nasreen wrote, ‘I am happy in this election not because BNP won, but because the Islamist Jihadi terrorist organization lost. For the last one and a half years, he has shown a kind of dominance in the country’s politics, holding rallies with lakhs of supporters and indulging in violence day and night whenever he wants. They killed whoever they wanted, tortured them, set fire to the houses of Hindus, beat and burnt Hindus to death. Not a single woman was fielded as a candidate for votes.

He said, ‘The party which hates women so much insulted working women by calling them prostitutes. Spoke against women’s leadership. Women were pushed into the darkness of burqa and niqab. Women were considered slaves and sex slaves of men. Dreamed of implementing Sharia law against women. The public did not allow Jamaat-e-Islami to come to power. This is good news for now.

In this election, I am not happy because the BNP won, but because the Islamists–jihadi–terrorist group was defeated. Over the past year and a half, they displayed outrageous dominance, held rallies with hundreds of thousands of supporters, carried out mob violence day and night…

Taslima gave these suggestions to Tariq Rehman

Apart from this, he has given some suggestions to BNP party regarding bringing changes in the country. He appealed and wrote that the charter of July 1 should be cancelled. Liberalism should be promoted again in the Constitution. Official religion will have to be removed. Family laws based on religion will have to be abolished. To provide equality to women, a Uniform Civil Code should be implemented. Apart from this, he said that freedom of speech, human rights, protection of minority religions (Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, indigenous people) and safety of women will have to be ensured.

He said that madrassa based education will have to be ended. A secular and science-based education system will have to be strengthened. Universal education and healthcare for all must be strengthened.

Taslima said, ‘Respecting democracy, the ban on Awami League will have to be lifted. Such arrangements will have to be made so that its leaders can return from exile. Can join politics. It is not safe to keep the jihadi-backed Jamaat-e-Islami as the main opposition party.

He said that along with economic development, the gap between rich and poor will have to be reduced. Family and religious politics should not be encouraged. Also, during Sheikh Hasina’s government, bloggers were killed, due to which free-thinking people, who were afraid, took refuge abroad to save their lives. Such arrangements should be made for them, so that they can return home. Can work safely.

Liberation War statues should be rebuilt: Nasreen

Taslima Nasreen said that freedom of speech and freedom of the press should not be violated. All books, theater productions and films that are banned should be released. The statues commemorating the Liberation War should be rebuilt. The houses of Dhanmondi 32 should also be rebuilt. Hijab, burqa etc. should not be made mandatory for women in any government or private institutions. Burqa and niqab should be banned due to security reasons.

Apart from this he said that Jihadi terrorists should be arrested again. Hostile relations with India should end. Chinmoy Krishna Das should be released. All the members and supporters of Awami League as well as artists, writers and journalists who have been jailed should be released.

Elections are going to be held in Bangladesh in the next few days. Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League is not taking part in this election. Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chief Khaleda Zia has passed away, her son Tariq Rahman is a strong contender for the post of Prime Minister. Meanwhile, the cycle of violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh does not seem to be stopping. There is hardly a day when there is no news of Hindus being beaten and their houses being burnt. Meanwhile, writer Taslima Nasreen, who was expelled from Bangladesh, has given a big statement.

Taslima Nasreen posted on social media platform X and wrote that there are two types of Jihadis in Bangladesh. He wrote, ‘One is a bearded, cap-wearing, madrasa-educated jihadi, while the other is a jihadi wearing western clothes and having a university degree.’

Both jihadis have only one dream: Taslima

The writer who was deported from the country further said that the objective of both types of Jihadis is the same, and that is enmity against India. Their dream is also the same – to wage war against India and merge Bangladesh with Pakistan.

If cultural relations between Bangladesh and India are destroyed then jihadis will emerge: Taslima Nasreen

He wrote, ‘100 percent of the people of Bangladesh have not yet become Jihadis. Many people still believe in free thought, progressivism and secularism. That is why the opportunity still exists to rebuild the country as a non-communal, civilized nation. If cultural ties between Bangladesh and India are destroyed then only jihadis will emerge.

Bangladesh suffered loss due to stoppage of cricket and cinema: Taslima Nasreen

The Bangladeshi writer wrote, ‘No problem will be solved by hatred and violence. Hate should not be answered with hatred, nor with tooth and nail. There should be no more wars. Cricket should continue, theater and cinema should continue, music should continue, clothes and fashion should continue, book fairs should continue. India may not suffer much loss by stopping them, but Bangladesh will suffer a lot.

Famous Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen, living in exile in London, has strongly criticized former Bangladesh Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia after her death on Tuesday (December 30, 2025). Taslima accused Khaleda Zia of taking a stand against freedom of expression and banning many books during her rule. Taslima even said about Khaleda Zia that she had supported Jihadis during her rule.

Taslima Nasreen shared a post on X, in which she criticized Khaleda Zia through sharp words. He also raised the question whether after the death of Khaleda Zia, her 31-year long exile sentence will end and whether the ban will be lifted on those books which were banned during her rule. Taslima also shared the list of some books, which she claimed were banned by Khaleda Zia. This includes Lajja, Utal Hawa, Ka and Doj Dark Days.

What did Taslima Nasreen say in the social media post?

Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen said, ‘Khalida Zia is dead. His age was 80 years. She became the party chief from a housewife and then also remained the Prime Minister of the country for 10 years. He lived a successful and long life. Sheikh Hasina kept him in jail for two years, apart from that I don’t think he ever faced much trouble after 1981. Everyone struggles with diseases, she also went through it.

She said, ‘I am wondering whether with his death the ban on all the books which he had banned will not be lifted? They should be removed. They banned Meri Lajja in 1993. Banned on Utal Hawa in 2002, Ka in 2003 and Do Dark Days in 2004. When Khaleda Zia was alive, she did not take any step in favor of freedom of expression by removing the ban on these books. If his death now becomes a reason to protect freedom of expression, so be it.

Taslima mentioned the actions taken against her

During this, Taslima Nasreen, while referring to the cases and legal actions registered against her during the reign of Khaleda Zia, said, ‘In the year 1994, while supporting the Jihadis, she filed a case of hurting religious sentiments against a secular, humanist, familist and free-thinking writer.’ Describing herself, she said that Khaleda Zia issued an arrest warrant against that writer. After this, he wrongly expelled that writer, i.e. Taslima Nasreen, from her own country.

He said, ‘During his rule he did not allow me to return to my home, to my country. Will his death put an end to my 31-year-long exile? Or will the unjust rulers continue to commit injustice in this manner, one after the other, generation after generation?’

Singer James’s concert in Faridpur, about 120 km from Dhaka, was canceled in the wake of attacks on artists and cultural institutions in Bangladesh. According to local reports, the event was to be held at 9:00 pm on Friday night to commemorate a school anniversary. The attackers tried to forcibly enter the venue and threw bricks and stones at the crowd.

Locals said the students resisted the attackers, but ultimately the concert had to be canceled following instructions from local authorities. Writer Taslima Nasreen strongly condemned this trend growing in Bangladesh. In a post on the social media platform

What did Taslima Nasreen say while mentioning Siraj Ali Khan?
He further said, “Siraj Ali Khan had come to Dhaka a few days ago. He is the grandson of Ali Akbar Khan, son of the world famous Ustad Alauddin Khan. Siraj Ali Khan himself is an eminent artist of the Maihar Gharana. He returned to India without performing any program in Dhaka and said that he will not come to Bangladesh until the artistes, music and cultural institutions are safe.”

Taslima Nasreen said, “Two days ago, Ustad Rashid Khan’s son Armaan Khan also rejected the invitation to Dhaka. He also made it clear that he does not want to step into Bangladesh full of jihadists who hate music.”

James is very famous in Bangladesh
Let us tell you that James is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and composer from Bangladesh, who is also known as a playback singer. He is the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the rock band ‘Nagar Baul’. He has sung many hit Hindi film songs, like ‘Bheegi Bheegi’ from the film ‘Gangster’ and ‘Alvida’ from the film ‘Life in a Metro’. He is very popular in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has been burning in the fire of violence for a long time. Recently, after the death of student leader Sharif Usman Hadi, violence was seen in many areas including Dhaka. During this period, several media institutions, cultural centers and political offices were attacked. After all, why is violence not stopping in Bangladesh? Taslima Nasreen has given her opinion on this.

Taslima told the truth behind her violence

Bangladeshi exiled writer Taslima Nasreen has presented the truth of such situation in her country to the world. He wrote in a post on X, ‘The country has been burning in the fire of discontent for a long time. This is not because of the fight between Awami League and BNP, nor because of the fight between Hasina and Yunus, nor because of the fight between Udichi and scoundrels, nor because of the fight between Hindus and Muslims. This is actually something else.

The country has long been burning in the fire of discontent, but this is not because of the conflict between the Awami League and the BNP, not because of the conflict between Hasina and Yunus, not because of the conflict between Chhayanaut/Udichi and miscreants, and not because…

— taslima nasreen (@taslimanasreen) December 24, 2025

Conflict between secularism and religious fanaticism: Taslima

Taslima Nasreen further writes, ‘The real reason for the quarrel is something else. The real fight is between two ideologies. This fight is between secularism and religious fanaticism. This is a conflict between rationalism and fundamentalism. There is a struggle between truth and lies. There is a struggle between light and darkness. There is a conflict between progressivism and reactionism.

He said, ‘It is a struggle between intelligence and ignorance. There is a struggle between civilization and barbarism. There is a struggle between humanity and cruelty. There is a conflict between free thinking and superstition. This is a fight between two types of people. Those who want to move forward and those who want to go backward.

Bomb blast in Dhaka in the evening

On one hand the writer is seeing her country going into darkness, while on the other hand the situation remains the same. Evidence of this was seen on Wednesday after the news of a bomb blast in the capital Dhaka. Many people have been injured and one person has died in this blast. There was panic in the area after the incident. The blast took place in Mogabazar of the capital. The miscreants fled after throwing the bomb.

The situation in Bangladesh has been sensitive for some time now.

The situation in Bangladesh has remained very sensitive for the last few months. Recently, the atmosphere has become very serious due to the death of youth leader Usman Hadi and then the mob lynching of a Hindu worker. Hadi was shot by masked gunmen during an election campaign in Dhaka’s Bijoynagar area on 12 December and died while undergoing treatment in Singapore on 18 December. At the same time, on the night of 18 December, Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das was murdered.

Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of the Taliban government of Afghanistan, did not allow women journalists to attend a press conference held in Delhi. Bangladesh’s exiled writer Taslima Nasreen has given a sharp reaction to this incident. She described the Taliban as ‘non-believers of human rights’ of women and also raised questions on male journalists.

What did Taslima Nasreen say?
Taslima Nasreen wrote on X- ‘Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki came to India and held a press conference. However, he did not allow any female journalist to participate in it. In the Islam that the Taliban follows, women are expected only to stay at home, bear children and serve their husbands and children. These anti-women people do not want to see women anywhere outside the home – neither in schools, nor at the workplace.

He further wrote- ‘They refuse to give human rights to women because they do not consider women as human beings. If male journalists had any conscience, they would have boycotted this press conference. Any nation based on disgusting misogyny is a barbaric nation and no civilized nation should recognize such a regime.

India distanced itself from the press conference
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) clarified in this entire matter that it had nothing to do with the press conference. The press conference was held at the Afghanistan Embassy, following the bilateral meeting between Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Muttaki. No joint press briefing was held after the meeting of the two ministers.

Only male journalists got entry
Only male journalists were allowed to attend the press conference of the Afghan Foreign Minister, which spread outrage across the country at political and social levels. During this, Muttaki talked on issues like India-Afghanistan relations, trade, humanitarian aid and security cooperation.

The condition of women is worst under Taliban rule
The situation of women in Afghanistan has continuously deteriorated since the Taliban came to power in August 2021. According to the United Nations, Afghan women and girls are currently facing the world’s most serious women’s rights crisis. Women are increasingly being excluded from schools, universities and workplaces, almost eradicating them from public life.

P Chidambaram also reacted
Congress leader P Chidambaram also expressed displeasure over this incident. He said, ‘I am shocked that women journalists were kept out of the press conference. In my personal opinion, male journalists should have left the press conference at that time.

First high-level visit of Taliban government to India
This visit of Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki will continue till October 16. This is the first high-level visit of the Afghan government to India after the Taliban came to power in August 2021.

Taslima nasrin on pahalgam terror attack: The exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen, while counting the similarities between the Pahalgam terror attack and the terrorist attacks in Dhaka in 2016, said on Sunday that “As long as Islam is, there will be terrorism.” In a session of Delhi Sahitya Mahotsav, the author of “Lajja” Taslima Nasreen also said that “Islam has not developed in 1,400 years”

He said, “As long as it remains, it will continue to give birth to terrorists. Muslims were killed in the 2016 Dhaka attack because they could not read Kalma. When faith is allowed to dominate logic and humanity, this is what happens. ”On April 22, 26 people were shot dead by terrorists at a tourist destination in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, most of which were tourists. On July 1, 2016, a group of terrorists opened fire on Holi Artisan Bakery in Dhaka, killing 29 people.

Taslima Nasreen made this big statement

Some of the survivors and eyewitnesses in the Pahalgam attack have claimed that the attackers asked people to read “Kalma” and shot those who did not do so. Taslima Nasreen said, “As long as Islam remains, terrorism will remain.”

Taslima Nasreen said, “The church has turned into a museum in Europe, but Muslims are busy building mosques everywhere.” There are thousands of mosques and they want to build more mosques. They produce jihadis. There should not be madrasas. Children should read all books, not just one. ”Nasreen has been living a lifeless life in Sweden, America and India since 1994 after blasphemy allegations.

“I love India, it feels like a home.”

He said, “I am a permanent resident of America and have been there for 10 years, but I always felt like an outsider. I felt like home only after coming to Kolkata. After being expelled from West Bengal, I felt the second house in Delhi. This country has given me the familiarity that could not give my own country. “Taslima Nasreen said,” I love India. It sounds like a home. ”

Also read-

Wind, hookah-water and trade are all closed … After the Pahalgam terror attack, India is tightening on Pakistan, understand

Muhammad Yunus News: Bangladesh’s exiled writer Taslima Nasreen has once again targeted the Mohammad Yunus government. He has appealed to withdraw the Nobel Peace Prize of Yunus. Taslima Nasreen has made serious allegations of misuse of power, corruption and human rights violations on Mohammad Yunus.

Taslima Nasreen wrote a letter to Nobel Committee

Taslima Nasreen has posted on X and told that he has written a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee. In this letter he wrote, “I know that once the Nobel Peace Prize cannot be withdrawn, but please consider whether this is possible in extraordinary circumstances? You gave the Nobel Peace Prize to Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh, but he did not do a single work for peace.”

Taslima Nasreen alleged that Mohammad Yunus stole tax while staying in Grameen Bank and used the bank’s foreign fund to start his business. He said that when women taking Microlone could not repay the money with interest, then the employees of Grameen Bank broke their homes. How can such a person be considered a symbol of peace.

Pakistan’s agent told Yunus

Writer Taslima Nasreen described Mohammad Yunus as an agent of the Pakistani Army defeated in 1971. He said that Mohammad Yunus has illegally occupied power in Bangladesh by combining jihadi militants. He said, “Opposition leaders and minority Hindus have been killed on his orders in the last nine months. Their houses have been burnt and destroyed. Many people have been imprisoned incorrectly.”

Taslima said, “Younus neighboring countries are preparing for a war against India. There is absolutely no ability to fight against India in Bangladesh, yet in his illusion, they are pushing millions of people in the country to death. The industries are closed due to the attacks of jihadi terrorists, the economic situation is going to be frightening, but there is no concern for Yunus to hold no concern in Bangladesh. They are trying to rob the country. “

‘Mohammad Yunus did nothing for peace’

Writer Taslima Nasreen alleged, Mohammad Yunus is pushing Bangladesh into a terrible crisis economically, political and socially. He has hatred and vengeance in his heart. His behavior is rude, barbaric and cruel. They want to kill opposition people. They have no desire to establish peace. In these nine months, there was no peace in the country for a day and he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Please withdraw their Nobel Prize and set an example in favor of peace.
