<p><strong>Tata Consultancy Services:</strong> Tata Group company Tata Consultancy Services said on Thursday that the company has partnered with global alternative asset manager TPG to build its newly built AI data center. Both the companies will together invest up to Rs 18,000 crore over a few years to advance the AI ​​data center unit Hypervault, making it one of the largest capital commitments in the country&#8217;s data infrastructure space.</p>
<h3>What will be TPG&#8217;s stake?</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">TCS has said on this, investment will be made in HyperVault through a mix of equity, compulsory convertible preference shares and additional debt. Out of the total commitment, TPG will invest up to Rs 8,820 crore and the remaining part will be given by TCS so that the 51:49 capital participation structure remains. The investment will be made in installments and will be subject to pre-existing conditions and legal approvals. Depending on the final investment sequence, TPG is expected to own 27.5 to 49 percent of HyperVault. </p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">What is the plan of TCS? </h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">TCS&#8217;s focus on AI data center is continuously increasing. The company plans to build such a data center in the country, whose capacity will be 1 gigawatt. In the coming time, companies making AI will need such data centers, which are fast as well as consume less electricity. TCS is preparing itself to meet this need of the changing times.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In this sequence, TCS&#8217;s HyperVault will serve as an exclusive vehicle for AI and non-AI data center operations. According to industry estimates, India&#8217;s data center market is expected to exceed 10 GW by 2030, from around 1.5 GW currently.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Forum for IT Employees (FITE) tweeted, despite having huge leave balance, TCS not only forced him to resign but also did not pay his gratuity. After the complaint, Mumbai Labor Office summoned TCS management. The Labor Commissioner warned the company about unfair labor practices and ordered TCS to pay full gratuity to the employee for seven years of service. After this the person finally got his entire gratuity amount.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Raise your voice for your rights</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">FITE said that we learned a big lesson from this. He said, the Labor Office/Labor Ministry has full authority to question and challenge the internal policies of any company—such as firing, forced resignation, wrongful termination or withholding of dues. <p><strong>Tata Consultancy Services: </strong>After the news of continuous layoffs, TCS has finally given a good news to its workers. Actually, the country&#8217;s largest IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced Quarterly Variable Allowance (QVA) for its employees. Along with this, it has also been said to give 100% variable pay to junior level employees.</p>
<p>At the same time, it has also been promised to give more variable pay to mid and senior level employees than last year. However, this will be decided on the basis of performance. Let us tell you that variable pay is the remuneration given to an employee in addition to his salary on the basis of his performance.</p>
<h3>Who will get how much on variable pay? </h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to an Economic Times report, TCS Chief Human Resources Officer Sudeep Kunnumal told his staff via email, I am happy to share with you that the annual salary hike for employees in C3A grade and below has been implemented from September 25, out of which well performing staff will get double digit salary growth.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The email further said, &#8220;Junior workers in C, C1 and C2 grades generally get both an annual hike and 100 per cent variable pay.&#8221; An employee, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that employees at C3A and above levels are treated differently in terms of salary hike and variable pay.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Company results in the second quarter </h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The email further said, “We have announced our results for the second quarter of FY26. In this our growth is remaining the same. Thank you for your contribution. All employees up to C2 grade (or equivalent) covered under the Quarterly Variable Allowance (QVA) plan will receive 100% of the QVA. For employees in C3A grade and above level, variable pay may vary depending on their business performance. I am happy to say that the total QVA payout for this segment will be higher than last year.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Let us tell you that in the September quarter of the financial year 2025-26, the net profit of TCS has declined by 3.8 percent to Rs 12,075 crore, which was Rs 12,760 crore in the previous quarter. However, there was an increase in revenue, which increased by 3.7 percent to Rs 65,799 crore. </p>

The company on Friday launched a new “AI Experience Zone Design Studio” in London, reflecting TCS’s continued strategic investment in the UK.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">At present, Indian IT company TCS is directly and indirectly employing about 42,000 people in Britain. In the information given to the stock market, the company said that in the financial year 2023-24, it has contributed 3.3 billion pounds (about Rs 350 billion) to the British economy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This AI Experience Zone Design Studio, started in London, will promote Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovation. The studio will help develop AI-based solutions in collaboration with client companies to increase productivity and efficiency in sectors such as finance, health, retail and public services. This new center is TCS&#8217;s second design hub after the design studio launched in New York in September.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>TCS Layoff:</strong> Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country&#8217;s largest IT company, is now getting out of jobs, whose technical information is no longer effective for the company. These will be the employees who have not been able to increase their skill sets with changing times. The company of Tat Group will give these personnel from 6 months to 2 years as a vibrations, which will give them some financial assistance in doing new work and they will be able to find new work. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This decision of TCS is looking at today&#8217;s changing technology, according to the company, now the method of work through automation is changing rapidly. In such a situation, it is difficult to catch the new technology with the old skill set. According to media reports, the company is preparing to lay down a total of 12,000 employees by next year. TCS CEO K. Kritivasan has said that it is one of the most difficult decisions for the company so far, but this step is necessary to further improve the company in future.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Which employees will be trimmed?</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">TCS says on this decision that they are not only taking old employees from their jobs, but the company is bid farewell to them with respect and care. Also, the company is also helping such people find jobs. For this, TCS is paying the job search agency fees for three months. So that they can get a job easily. The company will especially provide this facility to junior employees for a long time. Also, under the TCS Care Program, the company is running a program for employees struggling with mental stress. In which therapy and counseling are being done to the employees.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">TCS is giving an opportunity for early retirement to employees near retirement. That is, employees will be able to retire before time. However, the company will give them full benefit of retirement. In which pension, insurance, other facilities, along with 6 months to 2 years of asset will be available. According to the information, the company has completed most of the retrenchment and adjustment between August and September. Now only such employees are in the company, who are looking for a new role under RMG i.e. Resource Management Group.</p>

The Labor Ministry sought clarification from TCS after complaints from the Union NAINT Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) of the technical staff and the company has sent its reply to the Chief Labor Commissioner (CLC) via email to the Chief Labor Commissioner (CLC), in which the delay in the appointment of new employees has been told to be adjourned. </p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Job is not available even after offer letter</h3>
