This quantity is neither too strong nor too light i.e. it is a perfect combination of taste, color and aroma. If you like to drink thick tea, you can add one and a half teaspoon tea leaves. But keep in mind, more quantity than this can make the tea very strong, bitter and caffeinated.  The type of tea leaves also makes a difference to the tea. As the taste of Assam tea is thick, hence keep its quantity slightly less. Whereas Darjeeling tea is light and aromatic, so you can add a little more. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>How does the taste and aroma change with the amount of tea leaves?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">When you add tea leaves in the right amount, the tannins, flavonoids and essential oils present in them are properly released. These elements give your tea its aroma, golden color and taste. If more tea leaves are added, the amount of tannin in the tea will increase, which will increase bitterness and blackness. If less is added then the tea will taste bland and tasteless.  To get the same tea every time, try to pour the tea leaves by measuring and not by guesswork. Especially when you are making tea for more than one person. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Adding too many tea leaves makes the tea bitter and pungent, can cause acidity or burning sensation in the stomach, affects sleep and increases restlessness and most importantly, over-boiling the tea also destroys its antioxidants, which reduces its health benefits. If your tea looks very dark in color, or there is bitterness left in the mouth after drinking, then understand that there have been too many tea leaves. </p>
