The Basic Education Department of UP has started preparations for recruitment on a large scale to overcome the shortage of teachers in city schools. According to reports, a plan is being made to appoint 11,508 assistant teachers in urban council schools and 10,000 instructors in upper primary schools. After a long time, the department is moving towards direct recruitment, which has given hope to lakhs of candidates.

Details of vacant posts from all 75 districts of the state have been sent to the Commission. Now it is expected that official notice will be issued soon to start the application process. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also indicated to move the recruitment process forward rapidly. The main objective of this recruitment is to meet the shortage of teachers amid the increasing number of students in urban schools. Posts are vacant in many schools for a long time, due to which studies are being affected. The department believes that with the new appointments the standard of education will improve and children will be able to get regular teachers. If necessary, recruitment can be increased further.

Where will the notification be issued

The official notification related to recruitment will be released on the website of the Basic Education Department. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the website from time to time, so that they can apply as soon as the notice comes. Recruitment process, qualification, age limit, selection method and other important information will be clearly given in the notification.

In which districts the maximum number of posts are vacant?

According to media reports, the maximum number of posts are in Bareilly (888). After this, Kanpur Nagar (758), Meerut (635), Aligarh (492), Saharanpur (448), Lucknow (444), Ghaziabad (405), Agra and Farrukhabad (315-315), Mathura (255), Bulandshahr and Firozabad (245-245), Jalaun (232) and Amroha (230) are included.

Apart from this, Badaun (196), Muzaffarnagar (186), Gorakhpur and Hardoi (166-166), Pilibhit (166), Lakhimpur Kheri (154), Siddharthnagar (152), Etah and Jaunpur (151-151), Bahraich (140), Basti and Deoria (131-131), Rampur (129), Kasganj. A large number of posts are also vacant in Moradabad (128), Moradabad (127), Etawah (125), Shahjahanpur (123), Azamgarh and Ballia (122-122).

There are opportunities in small districts also. Like Hapur (108), Pratapgarh (107), Hamirpur (105), Fatehpur (95), Rae Bareli (91), Bhadohi (79), Kaushambi (75), Lalitpur (68), Gonda and Shamli (66-66), Mainpuri (64), Sant Kabirnagar (62), Bijnor (59), Mahoba (56), Ghazipur, Mau and Banda. (52-52), Ayodhya and Balrampur (52-52). There are less posts in some districts, like Gautam Buddha Nagar (6), Kushinagar (8), Kanpur Dehat (12), Chandauli (15), Maharajganj (19), Sonbhadra (20) and Shravasti (2).
