A major theft took place in the house of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son and Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav. Late night on Monday (June 22), Rs 20 lakh cash (party fund money), two tola gold chain, a ring, 4 pen drives, 2 hard disks, an iPad, a MacBook, a Lenovo laptop and 4 iPhone 17 Pro Max mobile phones went missing from the cupboard kept in Tej Pratap’s house.

Only someone close to Tej Pratap is being accused of such a big theft. Actually, the President of Janashakti Janata Dal lives in 42 Harding Road residence. He himself has accused his personal assistant Motilal Rai of theft. It has been claimed that he was seen running away with the bag.

Police guard at Tej Pratap’s house since night

Tej Pratap has applied to register an FIR against Motilal Rai in the Secretariat police station. It has been said in the complaint that his PA has stolen some of his belongings, after which he has demanded action from the police. The police had reached Tej Pratap’s house on Monday night itself and the investigation is going on since then.

Motilal Rai was seen climbing the boundary wall

In the complaint given to the police, Tej Pratap Yadav has written that at around 11.30 pm on Monday night, his driver Anil Yadav and his roommate Vishal had seen Motilal Rai crossing the boundary of the residence carrying a bag. Both the persons are eyewitnesses to this incident. Along with this, Tej Pratap has appealed to take Motilal Rai into custody and interrogate him. He has requested the police to arrest Motilal Rai and help him recover all his stolen goods and return them.
