The news of a bomb in Tejas Rajdhani Express created panic. This train was going from Rajendra Nagar (Patna) to New Delhi. As soon as information about the suspicious object was received, the train was stopped as a precautionary measure at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction (DDU). The sudden increase in security arrangements at the station created an atmosphere of panic among the passengers.

According to ABP correspondent, as soon as the information was received, several teams of Railway Protection Force (RPF), GRP and Civil Police were called to the spot. Along with this, bomb disposal squad and dog squad also got involved in the investigation. All the coaches of the train were thoroughly searched and the passengers were taken down from the train and kept at a safe place. Security agencies are checking every coach, seat and luggage with utmost care.

Police engaged in investigation of suspicious object

According to senior police officials, an unknown youth had called the railway control room and informed about the presence of a suspicious object in the train. The number from which the call has come is said to be from Delhi. At present, that number is also being investigated to find out whether the information was correct or someone has spread the rumour.

All security agencies on alert at the station

Senior police officer said that considering the seriousness of the information, all the security agencies are on alert. Bomb Disposal Team, Civil Police, RPF, GRP and Railway officials are jointly investigating. The train has been stopped for about one and a half hours and investigation is being done from every aspect.

Safety of railway passengers is paramount – Police

Officials said that the safety of passengers is of paramount importance. Until complete satisfaction is achieved, the train will not be dispatched further. At present the investigation is going on and the situation is being constantly monitored.
