While busting a big terrorist module spread in Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, security agencies have arrested a female doctor from Lucknow. After the arrest of many people associated with this module, the police have recovered a huge quantity of explosives and weapons. AK-47 rifle has also been recovered from the car of the arrested female doctor.

Lucknow’s female doctor arrested
According to officials, Dr. Shaheen, a resident of Lucknow, was arrested on Monday. He has been arrested along with seven other accused, including Dr Muzammil Ganai from Kashmir, who was detained from Faridabad. Dr. Shaheen was taken to Srinagar for questioning, where he is being interrogated in detail.

• Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai (Musaib), resident of Koil, Pulwama
• Dr. Adil, resident Wanpora, Kulgam

2900 kg explosives recovered
Officials said that after the arrests, the investigation teams recovered 2900 kg of IED making material and other explosives. Police say that this module was linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, and included educated professionals and white-collar people like doctors.

Weapons and explosives found in Faridabad
During investigation, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered a huge quantity of weapons and explosives from a rented flat in Faridabad. This action took place when Dr. Muzammil Ganai, a resident of Pulwama, was arrested, who was suspected to have links with the Jaish module linked to Pakistani handlers.

Police and central agencies of many states were involved in the operation.
Officials said that this entire operation was conducted by Jammu-Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Police with the cooperation of central agencies. He also said that due to the ongoing investigation, the exact dates of the arrests will not be made public at this time.

360 kg of suspected explosives and weapons recovered
According to officials, about 360 kg of inflammable substance, believed to be ammonium nitrate, was recovered along with weapons and bomb-making materials. The seized items included an assault rifle, three magazines, 83 live cartridges, a pistol and its eight bullets, two empty cartridges, two spare magazines, 12 suitcases, a bucket full of explosives, 20 timers, four batteries, remote control, about five kg of heavy metal and a walkie-talkie set. Police believe that this entire stockpile was to be used for large-scale terrorist attacks.

Case opened with the arrest of Dr. Adil and Dr. Muzammil
This recovery took place after the arrest of Dr. Adil Ahmed Rather of Pulwama from Saharanpur, from whom many important clues were found during interrogation. Based on his information, the investigation team reached Dr. Muzammil of Faridabad, who was an assistant professor at Al-Falah University and was arrested about ten days ago. Officials said that during the search of Muzammil’s rented house on Sunday, this entire explosives and a large cache of weapons were found.

Jammu and Kashmir Police has claimed to have busted a major terrorist module, which was active at inter-state and international levels. Police say that this terrorist racket was linked to banned terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH).

Search operations in many districts and states
During the investigation, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted search operations at several places in Srinagar, Anantnag, Ganderbal and Shopian. Similarly, raids were also conducted in Faridabad with the help of Haryana Police and in Saharanpur in collaboration with UP Police. During these searches, terrorism related documents, electronic equipment, weapons, ammunition and material for making IED were recovered. Investigation revealed that white-collar people were also associated with this module, which includes students and people in contact with foreign handlers.

Arrest of seven accused
During the investigation, the police have arrested seven accused.

Arms, ammunition and explosive material recovered
Jammu and Kashmir Police said that important weapons and explosive materials were seized during the search.

• With a Chinese star pistol cartridge
• A Beretta pistol with cartridges
• An AK-56 rifle with cartridges
• An AK with Krinkov rifle cartridge
• A total of 2900 kg of material for making IED, which includes explosives, chemicals, reactants, inflammable materials, electronic circuits, batteries, wires, remote controls, timers and metal sheets.

Financial investigation and source of funding
Jammu and Kashmir Police also said that the investigation into the source of funds related to this module is going on at a fast pace. Information about all financial links and external cooperation is being collected one by one and will be destroyed in time.

2563 kg more explosives recovered
Faridabad Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police raided a house in Fatehpur Taga village in the morning and seized 2563 kg of suspected explosive. This village is about 4 kilometers away from Dhauj. The house was rented by Dr. Muzammil from a Maulana, who was taken into custody by the police in the morning. It is noteworthy that earlier in the raid in Dhauj on Sunday evening, the police had found 360 kg of explosives.
