Taliban Threat PSL: Pakistan Super League is under constant threat. PSL 11 is starting from March 26, but before that, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar faction of Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) has issued a warning that it will not allow Pakistan Super League matches to take place. A large number of foreign players have reached Pakistan to be a part of PSL.

Tehreek-e-Taliban said that it does not guarantee the safety of foreign players, hence foreign players should not come to play in PSL. His statement is going viral on social media, in which he claims that TTP is not against sports activities, but it disagrees with the general position displayed by the government.

According to The Sunday Guardian, TTP has threatened that it will make every effort to stop PSL matches and said that it urges foreign cricket boards not to send their players to Pakistan. If anything happens to them, it will not be the responsibility of TTP. Famous Australian players like Glenn Maxwell, David Warner, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are going to participate in the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League. Apart from this, 6 players from Bangladesh are also going to play in this tournament.

Pakistan is also aware of the danger

It is not that Pakistan is unaware of possible threats. On Sunday, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that this time PSL matches will be held without spectators. Naqvi said that this has been done due to the tense situation in West Asia. But on the other hand, Afghanistan is also continuously attacking Pakistan, due to which the safety of players in Pakistan is also under question. The opening ceremony has also been canceled due to security concerns.
