Indian Army has started the application process for 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES 56) January 2026 batch. This means that now the path to join the army along with studies has opened simultaneously.

This recruitment is for those youth who are studying in science stream, have given JEE Main and dream of becoming officers in the army with engineering. The special thing is that there is no need for any written examination in this recruitment. Selection will be based directly on marks. This is the reason why enthusiasm about this scheme is clearly visible among the students.

The application process has been kept completely online. Interested students can fill the form by visiting the official website of Indian Army. The last date to apply has been fixed as June 12, 2026. Therefore, any student who wants to grab this opportunity should apply in time.

Who can apply?

Now let’s talk about eligibility. Only those students who have participated in JEE Main 2026 can apply for this recruitment. Also, you must have secured at least 60 percent marks in 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) subjects. Age limit has also been fixed. The minimum age of the candidate should not be more than 16 years 6 months and maximum age should not be more than 19 years 6 months. Age will be calculated considering July 1, 2027 as the base.

There will be no written examination

There will be no written examination for recruitment. The students applying will be shortlisted on the basis of their 12th marks and participation in JEE Main. After this they will be called for SSB interview, physical test and medical test. Students who clear these stages will get a chance to join the Indian Army.

You will get so many years of training

Selected students will be given training for 4 years. During this period, they will also be given engineering studies. That means, along with the training, the engineering degree will also be completed. As soon as they complete their studies, these youth will be appointed as officers in the army.
