The debate went so far that a female shopkeeper sprinkled kerosene oil on herself and attempted to commit suicide. According to the information received by the police, after seeing this shocking scene, the people and officials present there intervened and stopped the woman, otherwise a major accident could have happened.

Non-Marathi vendors refused to remove their shops

According to police officials present at the spot, a group of Marathi-speaking women had obtained official permission from the Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) to set up a shop for the festive season. When she reached there to set up her shop, the non-Marathi vendors (who already occupied the area) refused to vacate the space.

Meanwhile, an altercation started and within no time the dispute between the two groups escalated. In this clash there were mostly women vendors, among whom abuses started. The police pacified the matter with great effort. Let us tell you, the issue of Marathi vs non-Marathi is not new in Maharashtra. There is always some new dispute arising between Marathi speaking and non-Marathi speaking people.

An attempt was made to spoil the atmosphere amidst the Garba Festival on Navratri festival in Thane district of Maharashtra. A shocking incident came to light in Kashigaon area of ​​Meera Road East on Tuesday (September 30). A person was accused of throwing eggs during a public garba festival at the famous JP North Garden City Society, after which there was tremendous resentment among the citizens.

The incident is said to be held between 10:30 and 11 pm. It is alleged that a person named Mohsin Khan, a resident of Estella Building, first reached the Garba site on the pretext of checking the decibel level and recorded a video from mobile. After this, he had also complained to the police and appealed to stop the program. Later, the charge threw eggs at the festival from the 16th floor, which worsened the atmosphere.

Citizens reached the police station in large numbers

When two women policemen found a broken egg, the anger of the people erupted and a large number of citizens reached Kashigaon police station directly. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the police have registered a case against Mohsin Khan.

Investigation starts after FIR

The police have registered a case under Section 300 of the Code of Justice of India (BNS) and started investigation. Also, to control the situation, additional police forces have also been deployed in the society premises and nearby.

The official of the Dombivali police station said that the incident took place at Mashal Chowk. He said, “People had started gathering at the venue from 1:45 pm on Sunday at 1:45 pm. A group wanted to garland the statue of Babasaheb first, but the people of the other group objected to it. The debate between them turned into a clash, in which some people were injured and vehicles were damaged.”

He said, “The arrested and injured include women. The situation is under complete control. The investigation of the incident is going on.”

CM Devendra Fadnavis offered a wreath

On the other hand Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid floral tributes to Babasaheb Ambedkar on Monday on the 134th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Legislative Council President Ram Shinde, State Cabinet Minister Ashish Shelar and Sanjay Shirsat also paid tribute to him at Chaityabhumi, the last resting place of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, located in Shivaji Park, Central Mumbai.

Earlier, Fadnavis wrote in a post on the social media forum ‘X’, “A noted economist, global symbol of social justice and the father of the Indian Constitution, salute Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.”
