According to a science alert report, the Geological Bureau of Hunan province, China, discovered 40 gold mines at a 2 km depth in Pingjiang County, which is estimated to have about 300 metric tons of gold. At the same time, after the use of 3D modeling technology, it was found that many more gold reserves can be found up to a depth of 3 kilometers, due to which this gold reserves can reach the weight of 1,000 metric tons. Currently, Technicians of the Geological Disaster Survey and Monitoring Institute of Hunan province are examining samples from gold mine at Pingjiang County.

Gold was found during drilling in stones

Chen Rulin, explorer of Hunan’s Geological Bureau, said in his statement, “Gold appeared in the rock core during drilling in stones in Pingjiang County. When his samples were examined, every mitric ton ore was found to have gold up to 138 grams.”

It is noteworthy that China is already at the forefront of the world’s gold market, which contributes about 10 percent to the production of gold in the world.
