In the caption of this video, he wrote, I have just reached Kolkata and I came to know that the trailer of ‘The Bengal files’ was to be launched, the venue was canceled. Who is the one who wants to silence us and why? But, I cannot be silenced because the voice of truth cannot be pressed. The trailer will be launched in Kolkata tomorrow. In this video, Vivek says, friends, I have just reached Kolkata, as you know that we had decided that we will launch the trailer of ‘The Bengal Files’ in Kolkata. Because this film is based on Direct Action Day and tomorrow is August 16 and there can be no better day and place to launch it.

He further said, but, as soon as I reached here, I got a bad news. Our trailer was about to be launched in a very big cinema hall, it is a very big cinema chain of India. We had all the permission, so our entire team came here. But I have just come to know that the program has been canceled and it has been canceled because there is a lot of political pressure on them, they do not want any political dispute.

The film shows the painful events of Bengal’s ‘Direct Action Day’ and the 1946 Calcutta riot. Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has written and directed ‘The Bengal files’. The film will feature Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar. The film, presented by Tej Narayan Aggarwal and IM Buddha, will be released in theaters on 5 September 2025.

The name of the film ‘Delhi Files’ has now been changed to ‘The Bengal Files’. The film will be released in theaters on September 05.
