On Saturday (July 19, 2025), the US had declared the Terrorist Organization Force (TRF) responsible for Pahalgam terror attack (22 April) as a ‘front’ and ‘proxy’ of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, directly terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to the US, the Pahalgam terror attack is the deadliest attack in 2008 after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

ISI directed to shift Lashkar headquarters

Meanwhile, there is news that the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI has directed Lashkar-e-Taiba’s headquarters to shift to Bahawalpur from Muridke. After the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, when Lashkar was declared as a global terrorist organization by the US and the United Nations, it was named Jamaat-ud-Dawa.

Shashi tharoor: The US has declared ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF) as a terrorist organization in Pahalgam. India has welcomed America’s move. At the same time, Congress MP and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor has also given the first response to this.

Tharoor welcomed America’s move and said that it should have happened long ago. TRF, an associate of Pakistan-based Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET), took responsibility for the terrorist attack on 22 April 2025 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 people. This was the deadliest attack on Indian citizens after the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

The report claimed on the basis of intelligence input that Pakistan is constructing small, high-tech terrorist bases in dense forests to avoid monitoring of the Indian Army. The aim of these new camps is to compensate for the infrastructure demolished during India’s accurate attacks in May, which targeted several terrorist organizations including Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM), Hizbul Mujahideen and The Resistance Front (TRF).

The terrorist camps being re -constructed include those camps which were previously located in areas such as Luni, Putwal, Tipu Post, Jamil Post, Umranwali, Chapar forward, Chhota Chak and Junglora. According to intelligence officials, ISI is now working on a strategy to divide its terrorist training network into many parts.

‘Less than 200 terrorists in a camp’
According to the NDTV report, instead of very easily identified facilities, the new scheme includes many small camps, each of which has less than 200 terrorists, which reduces the possibility of significant damage in future airstrikes.

Recently there was an important meeting in Bahawalpur in Southern Punjab, which is a well-known center of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Jaish, Lashkar, Hizbul Mujahideen and TRF top commanders as well as ISI workers were involved in this meeting.

NDTV said that Bahawalpur Operation was the main goal of Sindoor, which was started after the Pahalgam terror attack. The reason for this was its strategic significance for terrorist groups. The agenda of the meeting included restructuring the operations, rearfining weapons, besides resumeing efforts to recruit terrorists within Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.
