Us on Bangladesh Violence: Keeping in mind the safety of its citizens, the US has again issued advisory for a visit to Bangladesh. It says that due to unrest, crime and terrorism, rethink the visit to Bangladesh. In the US Travel Advisory, citizens were requested not to visit the Khagarachari, Rangmati and Bandarban Hill Tracts districts (collectively known as Chittagong Hill Tracts) due to communal violence, crime, terrorism, kidnapping and other security risks.

This decision has come up at a time when a Hindu leader has been killed in Bangladesh. The advisory states that there have been incidents of kidnapping in the area, in which there have been kidnapping kidnapping of domestic or family disputes inspired by domestic or family disputes. The separatist organizations and political violence also pose an additional threat to tourists visiting the region, there have also been incidents of IED explosion and active firing.

American government employees travel banned
It further said that if you plan to travel to these areas, then you will have to take prior permission from the Public Security Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Bangladesh Government. American government employees working in Bangladesh have been banned from traveling to the region due to risks.

Ban on travel outside Dhaka
According to the advisory, US government employees working in Bangladesh have been banned from non-essential travel outside the diplomatic region of Dhaka due to risk. Advisory states that the US government may have limited the ability to provide emergency services to American citizens, especially outside Dhaka in Bangladesh due to these travel restrictions, lack of infrastructure and lack of emergency response resources.

The consultation states that passengers should be conscious of small crimes like pickpockets in crowded areas. Apart from this, looting, theft, attacks and illegal drug smuggling are one of the most criminal activities in major cities of Bangladesh.
