Congress has announced the name of CM for Kerala. VD Satheesan will be the new Chief Minister of Kerala. Senior Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said on Thursday that the party high command adopted a clear process to select the next Chief Minister of Kerala. Speaking to reporters, newly elected MLA from Kottayam Radhakrishnan said that the high command has heard all the parties and former president Rahul Gandhi has been directly involved in the process.

Radhakrishnan said, ‘This is a process with clarity on which no one can raise questions. Only such a process can be followed in a democracy. For this I express my happiness to the high command. He said that it is natural to feel confused in choosing one leader from many names.

Radhakrishnan said, ‘It cannot be said that every person in a democratic party should have the same opinion. Here the Congress Party has a coordinating power, which is its leadership. The party leadership has adopted all the processes including the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting, meetings in New Delhi and further discussions. After all these processes, the leadership is going to announce its final decision.

He said that although the CLP had left the final decision to the high command, detailed discussions were held thereafter. Radhakrishnan said he would support any decision, even if the name suggested by him did not get approval. He said, ‘Being a member of the party, it is my duty to obey the orders of my high command’.
