Speaking to IANS, Akshay said that working with Shahrukh is not just a professional experience but an inspirational journey. He said- ‘Working with Shahrukh Khan is like a dream come true for me. I have been watching his films since childhood. His professional attitude, hard work and acting ability have always inspired me. For me, Shahrukh is not just a superstar but an institution.

Will focus on production along with acting
Akshay told that working in this film is not just an acting opportunity, but also an experience to understand the intricacies of the large-scale film production process and sets. He said- This gave me an opportunity to understand how much hard work, energy and dedication superstars give in films. This experience gives me inspiration to improve the level of my work.

It’s a matter of pride for me
Akshay further said that it is a matter of pride and satisfaction for him to see Shahrukh Khan’s cinematic contribution closely. He said- ‘It is very special for me to be a part of this film and to be associated with his journey, even if it is for a short time. This inspires me to strengthen my career and challenge myself.

There were no windows in the house
Jaya Bachchan wrote- In 1976 we went into waiting. The house which he had built. We went to live there even when there were no proper curtains or windows. Now he had his own house, but he rarely lived there. This was the busiest period of his life. After Abhishek’s birth, Amitji and I used to try to spend time together. He was doing big blockbuster films at that time but at home he remained normal and carefree. Gradually his confidence was increasing. Meanwhile, I was moving further away from the film industry. He did not bring his work home and I had no idea how many films he was signing and with whom he was working. I did not interrogate him unnecessarily.

How was the house named Pratiksha?
This house of Amitabh Bachchan was named by his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan had once told the story behind the name of this house in Kaun Banega Crorepati. He revealed that his father had named him on the basis of a line from his poem ‘Welcome to all but wait for none’. Which means that everyone is welcome, but don’t wait for anyone.
