The month of October will be full of weather stir and seasonal activities this year, so that the feeling of pink winter will be felt before time. According to IMD, till October 15, the movement of clouds will continue in many parts of the country and some rain drops will keep the weather pleasant.

From October 4 to weekend, due to active Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and thunderstorms in the upper parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In some areas, there will be a sharp drop in temperature with hailstorm and snowfall.

Weather in eastern and South India

There is a possibility of light to moderate rains in the sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Chhattisgarh due to the cyclonic circulation and low pressure area being built in the Bay of Bengal. At the same time, a warning of rain has been issued in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Marathwada, Maharashtra and parts of Gujarat.

Alert for next 7 days in Bihar

The weather has taken a turn in Bihar. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that for the next 7 days, most districts of the state are expected to rain with strong winds and thunder-glow.

Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Saran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Banka, Jamui, Jehanabad, Sheikhpura, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, Eastern Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Nawada and Gaya. There is a warning of torrential rain in these districts.

Fear of heavy rains in these states

There is a possibility of heavy rains and lightning in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR on 5-6 October. The wind has been warned to stay up to 40-50 km/h. The rain will decrease from October 7, while the weather will be dry after 9 October.

Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim also have thunderstorms and medium to heavy rains on 5-6 October. Light rain may continue in some places after October 7.

Possibility of rain in South India too

Heavy rains are expected on 5-6 October in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat. After October 7, the rain will be reduced and the weather will be normal till 9 October.

Imd isesed red alert for Heavy Rainfall: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert from Delhi-NCR from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra to Kerala. The Meteorological Department has predicted a strong storm and heavy rains for the next few hours. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in Delhi at a speed of 60 to 100 kilometers per hour, roaring, hailstorm.

At the same time, heavy rains and strong winds were damaged in Kerala on Saturday (May 24, 2025), due to heavy rains and strong winds, electricity supply was disrupted and waterlogged on the roads. Electricity supply was disrupted in many areas due to damage to homes and vehicles due to uprooted trees and broken branches in various parts of the state.

Roads in many rural and urban areas were submerged due to continuing heavy rains throughout the day in the state. Revenue Minister K.K. Rajan said, “In some places there may be heavy rains in a short time without any warning, which can cause sudden floods and landslides.”

Premature monsoon came in Kerala after 16 years

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced to arrive in the state ahead of monsoon time. The department said that the arrival of the monsoon in the state after a gap of 16 years has come ahead of time. According to the IMD, the monsoon came eight days before normal and the last time it happened on May 23, 2009. Earlier, on May 19, 1990 after 1975, the early arrival of monsoon was observed.

Meteorological Department released alert regarding monsoon

IMD said, “Heavy rains are expected to continue throughout Kerala with the arrival of monsoon and red and orange alerts have been issued in many districts of the state for the next few days. Also issued red alerts in Kannur and Kasargod districts and Orange Alerts in the remaining 12 districts of the state in Kannur and Kasargod districts.”

At the same time, red alert was issued in five districts for Sunday (May 25, 2025) and an orange alert in 9 districts. For Monday (May 26), red alert was issued in 11 districts of Kerala and Orange Alert in the remaining three.
