Controversy occurred during Allahabad shooting

The story of Haasil was based on the student life of Allahabad. When the shooting of the film started there, some student organizations felt that they were being shown in a bad light in the film. Gradually the opposition increased. An angry crowd started gathering around the shooting.

Tigmanshu Dhulia told that he was threatened to be paraded in the ‘donkey parade’. He was very sad and scared after hearing this. He said that the situation had become so bad that he started crying. It was not easy for a new director to handle all this.

Jaya Bachchan took charge of the situation

When the matter escalated, Tigmanshu Dhulia asked Jaya Bachchan for help. Jaya Bachchan was active in politics at that time and had an old association with Allahabad. He immediately took this matter seriously and talked to the people. After his intervention the atmosphere calmed down and the shooting of the film could resume.

Tigmanshu admitted that Jaya Bachchan’s help at that time was a great relief for him. They felt that there was someone who was standing with them.

Manoj Bajpayee had rejected the role

Irrfan Khan’s character in the film is still remembered. But first this role was given to Manoj Bajpayee. Tigmanshu told in a conversation that he had talked to Manoj earlier. At that time Satya had been released and Manoj had become quite famous.

When the story was narrated to him, he clearly said that he would not play the role of a villain. Tigmanshu explained that this is a different kind of character, but Manoj refused. After this, this role went to Irrfan Khan and he played it very brilliantly. Director Tigmanshu Dhulia has completed almost all the preparations for his next film. He told that work on this new subject will start soon, although the name of the film has not been revealed yet.

The actors who say that we take time to get out, they say lies because acting work is not so complex. I have also done acting and acting is the easiest thing in film making. Tigmanshu further said- I have not worked with very big actors, intentionally. Because they become a big burden.

Tigmanshu further said- It is a mind set in India. They consider themselves to be a zeal. But this is not the case with me, I am a zeal because I am a director. So I have not worked with the actors because I do not flatter them, I did not become a court of their court.

Want to work with Abhishek Bachchan
Tigmanshu further said- I like Abhishek Bachchan a lot, I want to work with him. I like Ajay Devgan very much. All these new lots are very good. Ranbir, Ranveer are all discipled.

Tigmanshu Dhulia further said- ‘Ticket prices are so high that who will go to see a film? Traffic is increasing in every city, so people think about leaving it. When cinema day occurs and ticket prices are reduced by Rs 100, then every theater is full. The films that went on were only because of cheap ticket prices, including Tumbad, Sanam Teri Kasam and Rockstar. These were flops when the original release was released.

Flop films due to expensive tickets
The film director further said- ‘Of course, greed is the reason behind this. They are not selling the ticket rate of the film, they are selling parking, popcorn, tacos and samosa tickets, and the movies come later. His entire money is on real estate where a special multiplex has been built. They are showing it on big TV screens, this film is not the way of screen. Go and experience it on a single screen.
