Congress general secretary (communications) Jairam Ramesh hit out at the ruling coalition, citing increase in criminal incidents in the state and asked the Prime Minister if this is the so-called Mangal Raj of his ‘trouble engine government’? The NDA is warning voters in Bihar that the Grand Alliance’s return to power will bring back the era of jungle raj that prevailed during the previous RJD regime, where criminals operated without fear of punishment.

Congress leader asked questions to BJP

Ramesh said in a post on ‘X’ that on the same streets of Patna where youth were lathicharged almost every month demanding jobs and fair recruitment exams, the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister are holding road shows for votes. So today we want to ask him three direct questions. Under your patronage, dozens of question paper leaks and recruitment-entrance examination scams took place in Bihar, due to which the future of lakhs of youth was ruined.

When this was not enough, the business of selling fake degrees also began to flourish, Ramesh alleged. He asked, ‘Why was the hard work and future of lakhs of youth of Bihar compromised?’

‘Why is the condition of Bihar bad even after 20 years?’

The Congress leader said, ‘According to a caste-based survey conducted in Bihar, 64 percent of the population i.e. about nine crore people still live on just Rs 67 per day. Why is the condition of Bihar so bad even after 20 years of your government?

He took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA’s slogan of ‘double engine government’, under which it is claimed that having an NDA government at both the Center and the state ensures rapid development. Ramesh alleged that due to the policies of the Trouble Engine government, 3.18 crore people were forced to leave the state in search of employment. He asked the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister whether they would take responsibility for the migration of these families.

‘8 major crime incidents in 7 days in Bihar’

The Congress leader said, ‘CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) has exposed a scam of Rs 70,000 crore in 10 departments of Bihar. Like Maharashtra, will these scams in Bihar also be considered a sign of ‘acche din’? Please comment on this.

He said, ‘When you see the headlines of your road show in Bihar, please also pay attention to the headlines of the heinous crimes that took place in the state last week.’ Ramesh said that in just seven days, eight major incidents of murder and shooting took place in Bihar.

After the formation of these Bhairav ​​battalions, Para-SF commandos will be used for special missions. At present, Para-SF is used for Behind the Enemy Lines missions along with fighting terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir to North-East. These Para-SF commandos are equipped with heavy weapons along with para-jumping from the sky.

Bhairav ​​battalion deployed for surprise attack

Bhairav ​​Commando has been made lean and thin, that is, it has been prepared to fight on the ground with small arms. Along with carrying out surprise attacks on the enemy, Bhairav ​​battalion will also be used for patrolling the sensitive borders. There are currently 350 infantry battalions in the Indian Army.

Every battalion already has a deadly platoon, which consists of 15-20 commandos, but Bhairav ​​battalion is going to be more deadly than these deadly commandos. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (October 16, 2025) inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 13,430 crore for various parts of the state in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. These projects are related to major sectors like industry, power, roads, railways, defense manufacturing, petroleum and natural gas.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the Transmission System Strengthening Project at Kurnool-3 Pooling Station at a cost of approximately Rs 2,880 crore. The project involves construction of 765 KV dual circuit Kurnool-3 Pooling Station-Chilakaluripeta Transmission Line, which will increase the power supply capacity by 6,000 MVA and ensure supply of renewable energy on a large scale.

Expectation of getting one lakh jobs

Modi laid the foundation stone of Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and Kopparthi Industrial Area in Cuddapah, which will see a total investment of more than Rs 4,920 crore. Developed jointly by the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC), these modern multi-sector industrial hubs will include ‘plug-and-play’ infrastructure and ‘walk-to-work’ concept.

These industrial centers are expected to attract investment of Rs 21,000 crore and generate approximately one lakh jobs, which will boost industrial growth and global competitiveness in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

Modi inaugurated the project of converting the Pileru-Kalur section of road into a four-lane road, widening of the road from Cuddapah-Nellore border to Mukhyamantri Puram and a four-lane Rail Over Bridge (ROB) constructed between Gudivada and Nuzella railway station on NH-165.

He also inaugurated the improvement project of Kanigiri Bypass on NH-565 and bypassed section at N Gundlapalli Town on NH-544DD. Till now, about three lakh soldiers of India have served in different UN peacekeeping missions. Even Indian soldiers have made sacrifices to establish peace across the world. 182 Indian soldiers have been martyred in different missions of the United Nations.

Captain Gurbachan Singh Salaria of the Indian Army was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra in 1961 for fighting rebels in the African country Congo. Apart from this, five different soldiers have been awarded Mahavir Chakra, the country’s second highest gallantry award.

China is building 350 new missile silos

China accelerated development and testing of missile-based nuclear weapons. During this period, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and submarine-launched systems were developed. Although it has signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), it has not yet ratified it.

Since 2020, China has started rapidly increasing its nuclear weapons stockpile. According to SIPRI and the US Defense Department, if growth continues at this pace, China’s number of warheads could exceed 1500 by 2035. The SIPRI report claims that China is building about 350 new missile silos. Either these have been built or are in the construction stage.
